With 32 players involved in this tournament it all came down to KT Smith, J360, vVv CD Jr, vVv REO, TS Sabin, Maxter, Crazy Dominican, Scoot McGee... and to take first place, vVv CD Jr. For the first official tournament ran by the Kombat Network and getting just under 600 viewers... I think it's safe to say that the tournament at YesterCades in Red Bank, NJ was a success! Full results and videos to come later!

Top 3: 1. CD jr REO 3. Riu48

That was a very fun stream tbh. I seriously wanted Riu48 to win, his Sonya was doing really great, but CDJr's smoke was just one step ahead until last game, where Riu was just throwing 114 as antiair, losing many combo opportunities.

Shoutouts to REO for tryin' Crathen's combo in grand finals, to KT Smith's smoke and everybody who attended. Great games people and congrats CD Jr.

Good tournament overall!!!!

I'm suuuuuuuuper salty REO lost, not gonna lie lol. The way he was playing in winners finals was, IMO, the best fighting he's done since Season's Beatings Redemption grand finals of UMK3. But then he fell back to how he used to play...man I was so sad. :(

No offense, CDjr, you both are great players, as well as awesome people. You made a helluva trek back to reset it.

CDjr once again proves he makes the best reads. REO's kabal is more machine than man.

I will make a "quick" post for now and do full shoutouts tomorrow night.

The tournament was a great success. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made it a worthy tournament, as our goal of 32 players was met and what a fantastic set of players it was. It was a brutal tournament from second round on and honestly, even some of the first round where usually every advancing player gets a free match. Congratulations to CD Jr REO and Riu48 for their top placements.

Thank you to Ken Kalada , Gary Berish and the rest of the staff at YesterCades for being so helpful and understanding. It was definitely a lot to adjust to. Here's to future tournaments with YesterCades. Thank you to Tim Static for donating the raffle giveaways and congratulations to Teef for winning the grand prize PDP stick! Thank you to Summoning from Ultra Spec Cables for donating the majority of cash bonus for top 3 and co-organizing this tournament with me and to Jon Loor of Local Battles for donating to the cash bonus as well. Thank you to Sweet Johnny Cage , LI Joe and Arturo for promoting, helping us run the tournament and taking a lot of the pressure off our backs. Always great to bridge the gap with the Street Fighter X MK community. Way to represent, everyone! Last but not least, thank you to 9.95 Phil for streaming the tournament under our KombatNetwork banner.

Thanks for being hype in the stream players.

Man those CD brothers sure know how to move. Watching them use dat back walk to its fullest potential is so inspiring. That's something I really don't do enough. I always dash or backdash but never think about simply walking in or out to that sweet AA/mid-range spot. Also loved how Crazy Dominican baited so many wake ups by simply walking backwards after a few dash blocks. REO did it too vs Cyblax's wake up throw. Very smart stuff.

I'll definitely start practicing that walking footsies and try to use AA D1/D4 combos more often. I need to up my game to the next level.

REO you were amazing to watch like always. I know you probably hate yourself for dropping so many dash cancels and combos but don't be too hard on yourself. Kabal is so execution heavy I don't know how you do all the things that you do. Especially under pressure like that.

Congrats to everyone. It was very fun to watch so many great games. :)
