Fair Play in MK 11

Hello everyone,

I had a situation when I played Kombat League. My opponent was at full screen distance. My pad dissconect and I must connect him again. What my opponent did ? He wait maybe 1 second and then he started to attacked me. I lost over 70% of my HP.

What you will do during that fight ? I always wait for my opponent when I see that something is not right. There is no glory in victory like this.

I must said with great sadness that MK players don't care about fair play and any rules like this. Only wining is important. It's very sad coz we should have respect to each other. I know that is only game but its some kind of competition. Who was sportsmen then know what I try to said.

Like in the topic: Are you fair ? Or not ? Fuck that only win matters ? I spoke with that guy and he said.....option no 2.

my controller started moving on its on which meant it was time for a new controller. only problem is i was in a middle of a game in KL one game away from demi god. i went to walmart today got the new electric purpler controller and got to demi god today so in the end im happy lol

im all about fairness but lately especially when playing KL against a wifi opponent im teabaggin and doing fatals just because i have to play through the lag.

If the opponent is obviously not there i wait. If they take a while i jab them so i win when the clock runs out

Not like im risking anything playing people online so i don't see any reason to be a dick and kill them.

When i get my wins i want the pride of knowing i beat the others guys ass while he was fighting back.

But you will not feeling that you won unfair ? Why you can't wait few seconds. If your opponent played and stopped that can tell you a lot: SOMETHING IS WRONG.

So in casual games you are fair but in games for points you are not ? That is morality :)

In games for points or money anything goes. Cyrax infinites, MVC3 infinites, it doesn't matter.

Once it gets competitive, anything legal goes. The goal is the prize, not the honor.

I saw many times, during the tournaments when some players be fair. I remember when one guy said: "hey we didn't play on game mode on TV. Game was laggy and I drop a lot". That second player said: "ok we can play again". Guess what HE WON 2ND TIME. You don't even realized how big respect that guy got.

You said the goal is the prize not honor - it's a shame. I hope you will change your mind. My father always said: "son you have only one name, don't spit on it".

Wow great. What will happen when you will wait few seconds ? Something bad will happen to you?

Get chance to your opponent and then attack. You have fun coz you will finish somebody who can't counter ? It will be big shame when in rematch that guy will wipe out you.

New controler ? Controler can be out of energy. Sometimes can be a problem. I always wait for my opponent coz there is nothing fun in destroying unarm opponent.

Well I see MK players are not Tekken players. MK is very easy game so every asshole can play it.

That is fair play. You are fair not opponent. You show that you have some rules. I don't care that opponent will act different. I remember when some Russian stop moving in KL. I stopped and then....he attacked me without waring. So what ? I was fair and he is sad guy who must use that methods for win. My
conscience is clear and that is more importent.

Why you are fair during offline tournament ? Coz you know your opponent can get up from chair and hit you in the face :)

Haha I said anything <<legal>> is fair.
If hitting your opponent with the chair would be legal, I guarantee you they will :))

I was joking with that hit in the face. During tournament you must be fair coz you have....social pressure. If you will do something totally unfair....or act unfair....you will not have big support. In real we often like in good way. In the internet we fell unpunished. That is they reason why people often troll or hate another. In the internet you will say what you will never said in real life. This is problem of XXI century.

Its your fault if your controller is out of energy dont blame anyone else.
You should check it first why would anyone wait for you? They can but they dont have to.

But in good tone they should. It's my personal opinion. That is essence of fair play: you don't have to but you will do. Do you like football (soccer)? Once in english league football player Paulo di Canio had chance to score goal. Goalkeeper of the opponent team was injured and lied on the pitch. Di Canio had empty goal. He catched the ball and let medical service to help injured keeper.

After many years everybody remember this. He should score goal and win one single match. Now history remembered Di Canio as a most fair play player in football history. He is immortal.

Have you get my point ? You can wait and then you will get big respect. You can also win one single match in Kombat League. About that match everybody will forget soon. MK is like a football game.

It would be cool if the game had a function where if the opponent's pad disconnects, the game pauses and sends a warning. The problem with this, is that people would abuse the hell out of this function.

I'm only waiting for you if we're running private sets, I'm taking the round if you're my opponent in KL. I have 5 sets to finish.

OK I understand you don't have time but you could wait only few seconds. Sometimes that will be enough. I met only 2 players that be very fair. I also wait for my opponent and he write me PM: "hey man thx you for waiting, I must go to WC. That was very kind" - and to be honest after that PM I feel......better :)

I always turtle block if I see someone inactive. I prefer to face my opponent rather than just taking the free win. I want to earn my points and rank, not steal them (actually I don't really care about Kombat League, but I have the same mindset for any competitive game I play).

Of course, if they're taking too long I will end the set, but I don't like to earn points when I feel I don't deserve them.

I'm just gonna kill you no matter what. I don't care what's going on in your end. If you can't take losing a round or game cause of your pad, that's your problem, not mine. I'm under no obligation to wait for you.
