Frost. She sits on her fanny in the story mode, just like Jade, and ends up getting powered off. And her moveset just makes me want Cyber Sub-Zero back.
Jacqui is a trash MK character also but at least she's a fun character to play.

I like Kollector as a character tbh. Good to get a fresh lacky into the franchise, seeing as Ermac, Reptile and other such lackeys aren't present. Kols theme is consistent and defined and his place in Shao Kahn's empire past and present adds flavour to the world.

Cetrion i feel is a waste of space. Her power level is clearly above most other characters, yet she's just extremely passive and doesn't really accomplish anything. Her stance on constantly siding with her mother despite the obvious moral implications is just boggling.

First of all, that's a classic representation of Nature nordic godesses. If someone is a copycat, are superhéroes/villains. Second, Cetrion has a lot of skins, and almost all of them are pretty good and change the theme gracefully. Third, almost every art is "inspired" by other things. Liu Kang is just bruce lee. Raiden was just a chinese fisherman. Sonya was a 90's aerobic class teacher. Want me to continue?

She IS clearly defnied. She is a Life goddess. In many cultures, life is compound of air, earth, fire and water, and thus, those are her domains. It's really not that hard.

She is also the goddess of Light and Virtue (which also kinda contradicts her character in the story). In a game where most characters can be described in two words (fire ninja, cyber mercenary, insect assassin, thunder god, etc) Cetrion stands out as very convoluted. her brother Shinnok, who stands for the opposite of what she represents, just attacked with skeleton parts.

Raiden and Shang Tsung were inspired by Lightning and Lo Pan respectively from the film "Big Trouble in Little China", I think, starring Kurt Russell.

Virtue goes with life in this case, that's how they made the dualism. That's why Shinnok was the god of dead, and lacking a better Word, evil. It's really the same concept.

I think most that voted for Jacqui might be salty because they lose to her regularly. I find her very enjoyable to play as. I feel all sorts of joy when she says "Bitch please!" when she takes a round.

To me, there can be only one, Hsu Hao. No character can ever measure up to that level of absolute fail. But, NRS has the ability to completely turn any character around. I could see him turned into this bad ass martial artist that was once part of the white lotus who was banished for his perversion of the white lotus teachings and was later recruited by the black dragon. He could be redesigned as a man who wears traditional Chinese martial arts clothing with exposure to his cybernetic enhancements. No hat, just hair pulled back into a single, long braid. He could be Liu Kang's true rival in the story.

There's a difference which you clearly don't understand. Those designs were made in 1991, as opposed to now which they have been stretched and baked to look like their own thing.
