Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8, a Road to EVO 2012 event, takes place in Northbrook IL (just north of Chicago) on May 25-27th.

Registration just opened today for this event. This was my first ever tournament last year and it was a ton of fun and where I first met a lot of friends I now play all the time. I recommend anyone that is going to sign up for the mystery game tournament as well. It is pretty fun, not always fighting games either, just something one on one.

Also PS3/2 pad players, this is on Xbox so be prepared. I'm going to buy an xbox converter for my PS2 pad.

10$ hahahaha what a joke. I didn't realize this tournament was for poor people. How dare you insult us with ur petty 10$ entry. You better change it to 20$. Ill be going for mk9 and skullgirls and maybe umvc3.

Can I room with you? This tournament starts four days before my graduation. I need a place to stay badly. I'm going to register too. I'll be entering MK9 and SC5. I need more time to look into to Skullgirls and fuck UMvC3. But yeah, 16bit...help me out man. We're from the same state broski.

I'm going to be going to this tournament!!!

Can't wait to meet you, 16-Bit! And does anyone have any tips for me? I'm going to buy a ps2 pad, don't worry I already have the converter for the 360. If anyone has some tips on how to get over these tournament nerves, please let me know!! :D

Thanks for the support, guys! Lets hype it up and make MK at UFGT8 huge!

Remember, UFGT is one of the only tournaments where you have a chance to meet up with developers from NRS. They tend to drop by my events unannounced just to hang out because they all work so close by.

I'm not sure if we will have an MK9 character auction this year yet, but you can ask everyone else how it works or check it out on youtube or whatever.

For now, assume every game starts at noon on Friday May 25th. I will release a final, more detailed schedule once registrations are close to closing.
