I haven't gotten the chance to play much yet. So I'm interested to know what you mean.
well from what i remember being told. the way injustice 2's blocked jump in work is that there is a specific window where you can press a button after blocked jump in while in mkx if you press a button after a blocked jump it just does it immediately.

Great job with the game it is by far the best MK ever made.

If it's not to much trouble, can you add a practice mode in the Beta for last couple of days so we can lab up the Krushing blows and Matchup counters/NDCs? If you are wanting us to have the option for practice that would be great and I'm sure everyone here would love you for it.

Also please ignore anyone requesting nerfs or buffs for any character until the game is out for a bit so things can be properly labbed.

Im concerned about the variation system being like MKX where many characters had 1 variation that was easily the strongest. I find the custom variations really fun but understand it would be hard to balance.
 
My issues with MK11

1.They need to open up the combos more. This game has so much potential for better combos but its so restricted. I dont want 80-100% combos but more 6-8 hit combo’s will add more variety. Ive seen alot of combos that just stop when there’s a ton of potential for more combos. Not saying remove the red tape just move it lol

2.Still hate hearing fatality first.

3.Enhanced moves should of stayed at R2. Everyone was used to that and its so much easier to do since our finger is always over the R2 button

4.Really wish the customization has color shaders. Would add so much more to the game and would be a simple addition

5.Please MOVE the tagged move list so its not over my kharacter lol

6.I think Fatal Blow should be one and done. If you miss then thats on you and you shouldnt get another chance or up the cool down to 20 seconds

7.Where the hell is Skarlet’s short hair? I enjoyed that look and it made no sense to remove it

8.Bring back some of the kharacters staple moves like Sonya’s leg grab and Scorpion’s leg takedown

9.I think Scorpion’s spear should be like it always was where you just pulled them right in front of you and not the backwards slash. I think the slash should happen after using the spear multiple times in a combo so its not abused

10.Show gameplay of the damn Krypt already lol I have a feeling Im gonna be spending more time in there than anywhere else if it ends up being like shaolin monks

Fatal blows still being armored and recharging from only what 5 seconds?

Bland music yet again :confused:with this back in time, old school aesthetic, you would thing we would get to hear some classic mk music I feel like it isnt appreciated enough especially when there’s some actually good tracks made pre NRS. Just watch Destroyer’s streams and listen to how well they go with modern MK gameplay
Other than that game’s awesome

In hindsight, NRS really does seem to care about this guy's opinion.

Hey DayAlreadySucks, if it isn't too much trouble, can you ask to see Kitana and Cetrion gameplay, as well as our first dlc Shang Tsung? If you could do this favor I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

1: I don't mind too much I just think they should adjust the fall out thing, that hinders it a bit and I think it's kinda dumb I can get wrecked for punishing my opponents dumb or unsafe mistake.

3: Im slowly getting used to this but I too catch myself hitting R2 sometimes in the heat of the moment and am like "SHIT"

6: I didn't actually notice it comes back until today when a dude wasted it and some time later he did it again and I was like "wait what?" I looked it up after that.

9: I agree to be honest that's the ONE thing that bothers me. I've been a scorpion main since MK1 and after 20+ years they now make it to where you have to meter burn it to get the stun? But other characters like scarlet have special moves that leave you reeling outright too. I don't like that part at all.

I get the sense that they're deliberately making Kabal the "2 kool 4 skool" 90's bad guy archetype. If that's true, then I don't mind the Kaballin, though I do mind that he says it in his Revenant skins and I do mind how fucking often he says it.

This isn't a "complaint" as much as an addressing of Fatal Blows.

I'm going with the benefit of the doubt and assuming that the cooldown was something NRS balanced around. But if it doesn't shake out that way, I could see FB having to cost offensive meter. It would naturally restrict the cooldown that way.

There's a lot of ways it could go; they could increase the cooldown, make it one-and-done, make it cost offense bar, etc. Its current state is a bit worrisome, but the infrastructure in place should, on paper, make rebalancing a snap.

My biggest concern pertains to the future of the human race. There are too many entitled backseat gamedesigners on the internet. I sincerely hope NRS has the smarts (and I think they do) to ignore most of what is written on twitter, TYM, reddit etc.

The silent MAJORITY think the game looks fucking amazing and I can't wait to get my hand on all the new mechanics. Sure, the meter burn shit could be changed, and Ed has stated it was "experimental", but the rest of the gameplay decisions, bring them on, looks GOOD!

I don't know if it's the characters themselves or their methodical strings but after a while this game gets kind of boring...and man fatal blows get stale fast

Fatal Blows should require a real input in versus matches.. you can keep it triggers in single mode but its cheap as is.

Still not sold on crushing blows. Its not going to be easy to balance between characters with random requirements.

I see this being much less competitive than mkx still

Custom variations are fine, but that just means they won't be balancing default variations. Its sloppy development

I feel like Scorpion is super underpowered this time around. He doesn't seem very versatile. Kabal essentially does everything he does, but with strong zoning and damage output

I know it's just because of the characters they chose for the beta but all the zoning is getting pretty mind numbing. Everyone just plays Kabal and Jade so every match is just walking them down or air dashing over projectiles. I like to see that playstyle represented of course but I'll be glad when I see more variety.

Am I the only one who has my pokes hit the wrong way sometimes on close enemy jump ins?

Like it looks like my opponent is going to maybe cross me up, but he doesn't, and yet my pokes go the other way.

Wait are you saying Jade is bottom tier? I personally think she is strong at what she is good at, controlling dpace, zoning, her normals are far reaching and beat out most characters range. She has great normals definitely mid tier to A.
Keep playing her, not sure of your loadout but she has very strong space control.

I'd rather people let things ride unless it's something obviously OD like resets and infinits. We are only on day 2-3 of the beta which is a limited version. Bugs should be fixed things like that but not character balance this early on it's how games like MKX became unbalanced.

Can you express why you think she is shit? Might help others understand why you have that opinion?

Here is a video showing Jade being used very well. Obviously Jade doesn't have high damaging combos but when you are good at everything else do you really need 30-60% midscreen?
I'm hoping you seeing Dragon(Jade) vs HoneyBees (Kabal) will show you she is pretty decent and not shit tier. There matches where nowhere near one-sided and was generally back and forth.
It's a good comparison since Kabal has great foostie range tools(B+12/F224) and decent zoning when he has Air Buzzsaw equipped. And I know Kabal is definitely good. I can honestly say that the characters seem balanced, maybe a small adjustment down the road but overall fair. from my impressions based on the little time we have had with this limited build.

Im sure someone has said it already, but 14 pages. /scared

Matchmaking, it makes a *click* sound when someone declines, but it is silent when they accept. Id prefer to be alerted that I need to also Accept rather than an alert telling me Im still looking for a match.
 
Would have been nice to at least have a tutorial for the new mechanics like the ‘get up’ wake ups etc.
I’m not great at the game as there’s no practice mode but why does the amplified version of scorpions teleport hit twice when the first hit whiffs. The same as mkx.
Going on with the teleport. It just seems so quick and catches virtually everything. You can just spam it away. Also, scorpion seems to be strong in the air as well. Seems almost as bullshit as mkx scorpion with his jump kick.

As mentioned before, I couldn’t get to many hours in the beta and I played Jade only as she looks cool and I knew everyone was going to play scorpion and Baraka.
