Okay.

So this is the man on the Konquer card. And seems like we are gonna be exploring the Krypt with him.

I wonder if there's going to be some story for him. Or what if he turns out to be playable (as DLC) in the future?

I think this is just a nameless character like the one from MK9 and X. Not even that interested in him

In the leaked Achievements, one of them says "Spear 50 hanging bodies in The Krypt" or something similar. The character seems the have Scorpion's color palette.

I think it's young Hanzo, Takeda, or a completely new Shirai Ryu.

It could be Shujinko since he did use Scorpion's spear move in the past, but he never wore a mask or Shirai Ryu colors, so I don't know. I also kinda doubt that they would bring Shujinko back, but who knows...

Considering gear customization is a thing in this game, I figure we'll be able to pick a model (male or female) and put some gear on them.

He kinda looks Shirai Ryu. But like @kinomoto and @Vslayer said, maybe this character is meant to be an avatar of the player and you can customize his look.

I think there's more to the Krypt this time than just going around unlocking stuff.

If Shang is in the Krypt but he's DLC, then maybe if it is Takeda he's DLC also, though.

Yeah, and they wouldn't just show Takeda without saying it's him or announcing him as DLC and what not, that would make no sense.

Shang called him traveler, so it's an OC.

I sincerely doubt it's Takeda. Shujinko would be a fun idea, but my guess is it's a kustomizable player avatar.

I think this solves the "Who's peeking" question. He has a scared look on his face, just like the person who was peeking behind the corner in the story trailer. Plus it does seem like the Krypt will have cutscenes

If he's customizable, I won't mind him not having a story or be playable. But if you can't customize him (besides gear) at all I hope he has a story and is playable lol.

Despite Shujinko being a dumbass, it was still cool playing the origins of a MK character. Same with Taven.

I'm confident that it is a customizable character since that's kind of in vogue right now. It would be interesting if they had male and female or other base models besides ninja.

That's him but who is he? Shang said: "Welcome Traveller" but it looks like it could be a new Ninja or a Custom Krypt character but I'm curious to if it's a twist in the story. Dies look young but maybe it is an allready existing Ninja from an earlier time?
