The part that I don't get is how the character being "plant" based rather than "water" based is so much better in this context. Isn't any element that doesn't involve guns and tech basically not related to them?

If it's a water creature it could inherit some stuff like Aquaman's from the deep style moves calling beasts, or maybe going full-on water powers, creating tentacles of water (like Morpha from Ocarina of Time).

She could also be a mix of magic and beast-like fighter with some savage swamp creature style moves. Maybe this way she is both plant and water based.

I'd be fine with it being water or plant based (though if she's plant based maybe she would be too similar to Ivy?). She also looks like she has some wings on her back, but they could be ornamental.

I'm actually excited about what Cetriun could offer.

i thought so too a first but it doesnt appear to be a new design for rain and every playble character in the menu has one. i love rain but dont hold your breath for him in the base roster

All i know is this, i wont believe shit until everything is OFFICIALLY announced by NRS. But this is fun :)

Daaaaamn frost looks sick. I know everyone's missing gear pieces but i'm so down for her just being all the way bald. Not as cool with kronika around tho.....

Need to see more jacqui asap, she's not lookin special but i know there's gotta be something real good going on

I'm not a huuuuge fan of the overall roster, but if the empty spaces are true and there's still a couple main roster spots floating around....just throw in rain and it's not too bad for a base roster, imo

Her frozen hair is probably a gear slot, a lot of these characters appear without gear pieces as this is an early development build.

Honestly, I didn't notice Cyrus until recently, until I got annoyed when so many threads started to get derailed by people telling her how much her opinions sucked, and that she was a troll, and negative, and should go.

Seriously dudes, if her posts bother you that much just block her. You are the ones being annoying and derailing threads.

All I see you do is yell at other people, making personal insults to people, while they only state their freaking opinion, and getting likes for it from your gang members. Go lick each other, and just put me on ignore.

Anyway, seeing Frost bald makes me wonder, NRS really hates hair lol, no Sindel, and no hair on Frost, which probably means they still can't get hairs right. ;-)

The reason why Frost doesn't have hair is probably because it's one of her gear pieces. If you look, most characters are missing gear on select screen.

Rain is about water, why replace him? Plants are not yet in Mortal Kombat, Poison Ivy is my favorite character of all time, so yeah, I hope it are plants and NOT water.

I hope Frost stays bald and goes with the icy helmetless Vader look. I like it.

But yeah, its probably just because she's missing gear, not actually bald.

That's a good point.

Maybe she's bald, but she can "power-up" during the match that gives her buffs and layers of ice on her, including hair?

lol. I sucked with Takeda but want him back so bad as I just love the potential of a Scorpion/Kenshi hybrid. It was so unexpected of a combination to me. Johnny and Sonya had a daughter? OK sure I liked them I'll give her a shot. Jax has a daughter? Ok, cool. Kung Lao has a bitter younger cousin? Alright. Kenshi has a son who inherits his psychic powers and he left him to be raised/trained by MFing SCORPION of all people? THAT I have to see! lol.

Well, I suppose I’ll just start praying for Mileena and Sindel as DLC right now. It’s free money for NRS.

That being said, Kitana is in so I’m good, and I’ll probably tinker around with Jade and Frost. Cetrion looks interesting, too, I’m very excited to see more from her. Though I must say, the fact that we got Cassie and Jacqui plus their parents again is kind of annoying, but it is what it is.
