Details On New MALE Character Spilled By Brazilian Voice Actor

Part-Time Kano Hostage
An interview has surfaced with Junior Nannetti, the Brazilian dub voice actor for Baraka in MK11.

In the interview Junior describes plenty of details including information about a mysterious character that we have yet to hear about!


1. 50 voice actors dubbed the game (They only used about half of that for MKX).

2. Recorded over 100 hours of recorded voice.

3. Cassie Cage has an Intro where she sings the Cops Theme (Bad Boys Bad Boys).

4. This voice actor's favorite character is a male that hasn't been revealed.

5. Cassius Romero, a brazilian VA that voices Negan from The Walking Dead, is voicing this new character.

Judging by the fact he played Negan in the dub for The Walking Dead, is it possible he was cast as a villain character in MK11?

Here's an interview with Portuguese voice actors who worked on the game. Apparently, they are talking about a male new character, Cassie, and working on the game in general. Is anyone jere able to roughly translate this?

Okay, so a few things I could see this end up being:
  • It's Kano's son
    • Either one of the new characters (CET or KOL).
    • Or he's Kano's default costume. I pointed out that I thought young Kano might not be Kano from the past but rather Kano's son.
  • It's Takeda
    • This only makes sense if the flirting thing is wrong, because Takeda is with Jacqui. It's possible that the reason why he and Cassie are together a lot in the story is simply because the kombat kids are together a lot.
  • Completely new character
    • Maybe yet another new Special Forces character.

Soo, apparently the guy on the left is the “director” of the brazillian sub and he’s voicing Baraka, he mentions that there is new characterS (more than one) that are not yet revealed and that his favorite character is that new guy who has some kinda of connection with Cassie.

Not really. They're talking about the fact Junior Nannetti (the man with beard) "confirmed" Cassie (we already know, right?), and how her actual voice is very good comparing to MKX (MKX Cassie was voiced by a brazilian singer, and GOD DAMN, was terrible). Now we have a good VA, the same voicing Vados from Dragon Ball Super. Nannetti is voicing Baraka, and he voices Champa, from Dragon Ball Super too. The Unidub studio is very well known, and their dubbing is very good.
IMPORTANT THING: Nannetti confirmed that we'll have more new characters, and one of them is voiced by Cassius Romero, a brazilian VA that voices Negan, from The Walking Dead. So, we'll have at least 2 new characters revealed. This information is one more confirming the leak.

Not Takeda. He confirmed being a completely new character, and there's nothing to link with Cassie. He just talked about Cassie's voice actor in portuguese BR version.

If it's a completely new character and doesn't really have anything to do with Cassie, then it could be another one of Kronika's minions maybe.

I remember Ed saying a couple times that Geras was "one of Kronika's henchmen" which kinda implied that she would be working with other people. Pretty sure some other devs said something similar.

I don't really believe it, but there's a rumor that the game will have a new cyborg character but with a twist. Some info saying that he could have 4 arms or something. Again, I don't really believe it but who knows? Geras can split into pieces and he has blue blood so he seems to be artificial in some way. Maybe if this cyborg character is real it's like a early version of one of Kronika's creations?

There's actually nothing to add! All your points, excluding the 5th, are right. The rest of the interview is just Nannetti and Wendel Bezerra talking about the process of dubbing an important game like MK11. Cassius Romero's voice is very similiar to Jeffrey Dean Morgan's voice, so we can imagine how the new character is.
P.S: Obviously, the american VA probably will not be Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but I can SUPER CONFIRM: Unidub is very good choosing brazilians VA, making their work to sounds like the english version. If you guys want to see, here's the Jade's trailer in portuguese. All lines fit very well, comparing to english version.

For people who want to hear what Cassius Romero's voice sounds like, hear this video.

Judging by the fact that he voices Negan in the Walking Dead, I think it's fair to say he was casted because he isn't playing a very nice guy.

He sounds like a badass. What kind of character will this be?!?!

No, the guy being interviewd is the director of the dubbing process and he's voicing Baraka. The character voiced by Cassius Romero is his favorite, and is a completely new character. About the comedic relief: He voices Champa from Dragon Ball Super, and he talked about it a little bit. Champa is comedic.

I searched it up some stores but none of them confirms if I'll be getting Kahn & Beta as a bonus...

I don't mind Kano having a son, but be needs a better name than that, and he needs to be awesome.

If he's got a son, my bet is on him being some sort of anti-hero who ends up with Cassie. It makes sense - he and Kano would have a sort of Luke-Vader relationship, and perhaps he ends up killing Kano in order to protect Cassie. I can totally see NRS pulling some convoluted story shit like that.

Ugh, Cassie Cringe singing bad boys... Sounds like this game is gonna turn into a Cage-Joke soap opera again...

Kano's son... NO MORE CHILDREN PLEASE! Not happy about this news... I want new characters, not brood with similar attitude and moves and with the intention to replace the parents but which end up being in the same game forever and ever and keeping spots for much more interesting characters.

Don't want that AND a young Kano. Either kick Kano off the roster and replace him with the son or keep Kano as is with no son.

I really don't get why people keep insisting on young Kano being Kano's son. Missing half of your face and your heart isn't something that you genetically pass to your offspring. "Oh hey, you're missing a hand, you must be Captain Hook son!".

The majority of stores I’ve asked said they won’t be giving beta codes, only Shao Kahn. A lot of stores won’t be giving any pre-order bonus and others don’t know yet. Yesterday I pre-ordered the digital version, cause I really want to play the beta.
