Just to clarify Slips's mention of me, I used to say that Kitana was high tier. I never said she was bad, just that she wasn't top tier. I changed my mind a good bit ago and now agree with top tier placement, but personally put her as #4 overall.

Alright there needs to be some clear clarification about what 16-bit and Slips are talking about the whole Jop situation. What happened was I was listening to the Powerup podcast like the day or two it came out. Slips talked about how he became the new king of Tekken after beating Jop. I took notice how this and very simply asked Tom Brady on PL's stream this, "Hey Tom I thought Jop was the best in Tekken. How did he manage to lose?" Tom very simply answered the question by telling me that it was a long story and just said that Jop was focused on another Tekken game, but would later come back to beat Slips years later.

I really don't understand how this gets turned into "Oh Tom Brady is talking crap about Slips' Tekken career/reputation." 16-bit I specifically told you the situation and asked if you understood what I was trying to express, and you said yeah, but I don't know this still ends up turning to this.

One more note, you guys specifically kept calling out Brady for saying that Detroit was going to lose 3-0 , but even Brady himself admits that he is just trolling after Detroit won the 1st game.

Yeah it's cool Slips, it was kind of a giant misunderstanding that happened with 16-bit and I during the NEC chat. I don't think anyone would have anything bad to say about your Tekken career because it's Gdlk and it's hard to deny your accomplishments. By the way, why do you keep mispronouncing EVO? Is this some kind of St. Louis thing lol.

Left + Right = Neutral. Your character will stand still. No charging or blocking occurs.

15. Can I hold Left and Right to block cross ups?

No. In MvC3 the game allowed blocking both ways at once. We have corrected this in our Hit Boxes. Left + Right = Neutral; you will get hit in the face.

18. Can I walk forward and charge a sonic boom?

No.

19. Can I hold Back and perform shoryuken motions?

No. Left + Right = Neutral. (There's no need to either.)"


PL was saying that you can walk forward and iAGB. Pressing forward and backward will get you neutral, so it can't be done. I think when the first Hit Box was made they didn't have the Left + Right = Neutral and there was talk about banning it because you could block in both directions in SF and MvC3. So Hit Box put out a firmware update so that Left + Right = Neutral to make it more fair. With that being said do you guys feel like the Hit Box should still be banned?

If you think about it EVO is short for Evolution which would be pronounced in that way. I'm gonna follow this new trend of correct pronunciation.

Evo with short e is just easier to say than with a long e. In short, I'm too lazy to say it the proper way. lol Yes i know its pathetic.

The hitbox is such a controversial issue. Until I play on it for myself, I guess I really can't say. But Reo's Kabal didn't look as sharp this time around. Maybe he wasn't used to the pad or maybe he was just off. Time will tell.

Is there an advantage to playing on stick rather than playing on pad? It's just another peripheral. You can do the same thing on a pad that you could do on a Hit Box. I'm not 100% sure about hacking the firmware so Left + Right ≠ Neutral though...

Yeah. The HitBox guys do everything they can to make sure that the HitBox is a tournament legal controller so they purposefully do things like making L + R = neutral so that they don't have an unfair advantage. Keyboards have always been legal and they don't even provide the L + R = neutral. All the HitBox provides is an execution barrier so that you don't accidentally hit the wrong directions. It's no more powerful of an advantage than the advantage you get using a stick over a pad.


Even if REO didn't perform as well this time, his iaGB was still just as low and as fast as he did on the hitbox. Or at least it seemed that way to me. But I thought REO did awesome getting in top 8 every time.

I remember back in the day when we had SNES controllers that we could program our kombos into for a 1-button kombo. I'm sure we could still do that with sticks and hitboxes

1. It would be nice to have it be shorter.
2. I like the wacky, because it would probably be too boring without the random stuff.
3. Everyone in the Mortal Kombat Kommunity eventually.
4. I think the X-cast was very cool, it added to the randomness of the show. And technically, if you have them as the same show, you could get more channel views from not only MK fans, but Marvel fans. But change the background when you start the X-cast, the same color scheme you had for the episode, but a different image.
5. No chatbox. Just no.

1. Don't mind the length.
2. Diggin the random questions. It's pretty funny when one of you just through a question out there.
3. CD Brothers, Hitoshura, Phil, James MK, Tom again to talk about the shit talking!
4. I think it's good all together. It lets people hear about some new stuff that maybe they haven't heard before.
