Soul Calibur 6: THE SOUL STILL BURNS!

What do you really need RP points for, tho? Are they not just simply a "level" indicator? Can't your skills speak for themselves? Its like the ppl who bitched about their W/L ratios back in MK9 and X. What does it really matter?

Also - wasn't input lag confirmed before release??

I'm a Steam player and I did lose my save files (not my rank though), and while that felt bad, it's not even close to being reason enough for me to drop the game. Hell I got my W/L ration reset twice in MK9 and once in MKX I belive, but I still played and liked them.

Now don't get me wrong: I have my own complaints about SC6: RE, backthrows techs and Groh players like @Juggs are those that come to mind, but I feel like the pros outweight the cons easy.

Also online for me has been working very well.
Dayum. Well i just touched the surface. Im not saying im gonna drop the game, yet. Im saying is of course im buying other games as well that will take my attention from this very soon if Bandai dont fix their shit. For me online is a big thing becuz i dont go to locals. Too busy with work n shit. So if online is trash, than i just cant do it :(

Yes the input lag was announced, but the shitty online makes it beyond delayed. And you cant even see how much. The point is this, anything in the game that's not working as intended is a problem because i paid money for a product that should work and i expect it to work. Period.

I had it between my most disappointing, but not top1. That has to be Soul Chronicles, I was so hype to learn the lore but the presentation made it a chore more than actual fun.
Both Soul Chronicles and Libra of Soul was also up there as disappointing as well. I just dont have a valid reason to play it besides story and Inferno. But i don't care about Inferno and the damn text REALLY hurt my eyes. SHIT! I SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED THAT IN FEEDBACK!

In the final comments, I mentioned my disappointment with the stripped down customization mode. We're missing so many options from previous games.

I thought about it. Since RE is fucking annoying, what about if there were compensation for using it? Such as, instead of spamming that button over and over again, it should cause half a bar to use. And if its successful, then you gain it right back. What you guys think?

I think it's easy enough to side-step or guard break that it's not too much of a problem. As an Azwel player, RE and GI are my only options to get out of heavy rushdown, so any such consequences would significantly gimp my character. RE is good, but it's by no means game-breaking. If you keep getting hit by it, it probably means you've been downloaded or are pressing too many buttons. If you learn to sidestep, you should be able to full-combo punish an RE-happy opponent almost every time.

Its not the matter of finding solutions to avoiding it. The issue is its not a fun mechanic AT ALL! Even I hate using that because I'm not guaranteed a safe outcome. So it's worse when people THE WHOLE DAMN MATCH abuse that button over and over and over again. So the idea I proposed is to help it being used less. It will actually force people to find better defensive options by figuring out their character, in other words NOT BE DUMB, and will kill the RE spam traffic making the game more fun. Its a Win/Win proposal in my eyes ;)

I've come to mind it less and less. If someone just wont stop doing it, i've taken note of some moves that seem to stuff a lot of them, and just spam the crap out of them. I've had rounds where I literally just got free damage the entire round because it was the only thing they tried and I just did 66AA all round.

I do think there is way too much meter gain on it. The meter gain way out weighs the little guard damage you take (and can't really see). It's the easiest way to build meter, takes away people's turns, and you get a good chunk of damage dealt for starting one. Even if you win only half, you still can come out on top just by landing 4 or 5 with that initiator damage and mass meter gains really adding up. The benefits are so huge that someone has to really shut you down hard to make it not worth it. I don't know how you rebalance it to discourage it just the right amount while keeping it useful. Maybe do lots more guard damage, shrink the meter gain by half (or maybe more), and lower the initiator damage by 25%.

The fact that I've been about to blow up 100% of peoples' attempts lately does make me think that rebalancing would probably imbalance it at some other place in the skill ladder, so IDK if it's worth touching.

At least it looks epic as all get out. Or it would if it were more rare.

People “spamming” RE are the easiest to defeat. RE is very simple to beat outright when you know it’s coming. People are just lazy and don’t want to lab these days. It’s really only good when the player is good, and it’s not guaranteed damage for the attacker. So I feel it balances out.
