Character guides.....ummm....they're spread out at the moment, so a particular name doesnt ring a bell. But the best i can suggest is just look up tournament play on Youtube. Check out names for

Dragon
Boom
Linkorz
Signia
Party Wolf

Just to name a few. Thank ya kindly for the love! With the bit of time each day, i damn sure try to level up with so much to do. Trying to focus more on learning characters and matchups and not fall into the trap of spending time making characters. And Yoshi is by far the best version of him ive ever played in any game he has been in.

EDIT as a matter of fact @Evil Canadian do you plan on making character guides for this game? That be frickin' sweet!

Just from my online experience, I’d put Siegfried, Nightmare, Azwel, Groh, and Cervantes at the top, in no particular order. Seong Mi-Na is probably up there as well. People seem to think Talim is pretty weak. Raphael seems good, but too honest to compete with the top characters. That seems to describe most of the cast. Sophitia seems really strong as well, with overall great buttons and mixups.

Pretty much what I think, however I feel like Cervantes isn't as good as the other big boys, I'd put Ivy there instead. Also Siegfried and Groh are on a tier of their own in my opinion.

Ha, I totally forgot about Ivy. Yeah, she’s definitely up there.

Forgot about him as well; did that list off the top of my head. I think he might be at the top of the “good but too honest to compete” list, at least until he’s explored a bit more. He’s tricky and got dirt, but he doesn’t have the stupid, easy nonsense that the top 4 or 5 possess.

Ability to absorb meter from the opponent using certain moves, and a CE that can hit from full screen, absorb health and (from what I've heard) is plus on block, on top of his versatile moveset is not good enough? How come, if I may?

There is no way that Cervantes is up there with the best characters in the game, that of im sure. He is well rounded but sadly doesn't excel at anything. No gimmicks (a side from unb. throw which is only good at the wall), no mix ups, medium dmg output, no gi CE etc...

Don't get me wrong he is decent, just not good enough to be consider among the best in the game.

Yoshi is very straight forward, a lot of gimmicks which work (and seem amazing) if you dont know how to deal with them (gaps, vertical hits, more minus on block than it looks). Once you learn all of them there is little to be scared off.

Yeah, like I said, he’s got his fair share of dirt and is definitely very good, he’s just not as braindead abusable as the other top characters.

I've only ever played mkx and I2 as far as fighting games. How does SC6 compare in terms of mechanics and execution? Will it be difficult to pick up?

You guys are underselling Yoshi hard. Best wall carry in the game AND 50% wall damage on many stages. Plus frames with meter and hella mids. It’s damn near impossible to duck-punish his highs because he doesn’t need to use them: his mids track. People who think he’s honest haven’t grind out the matchup or haven’t played a good Yoshi.
