Has anyone seen this setup with Taki? If so, how do you get out of it?
She would knock me down and do an unblockable. Whatever move she used to knock me down would lock me in place. I couldn't roll, I couldn't instant-stand, I couldn't attack; I would press every button, yet I would just lay there like a potato and eat the unblockable every time. She hit me with this maybe 5 or 6 times, so I was able to try a lot of way to escape; none worked.

You have to ukemi to either side but in your position, you had to ukemi to your right. Might have been online that cucked you over. I believe you can also ukemi right before the hover move hits you so you can avoid the setup.

I tried all of those options. The match didn’t feel laggy. My character wouldn’t budge in any direction, even from mid screen. There are a lot of situation where I’ll see my character roll and still get hit; in this case, he wouldn’t even start to roll.

You won't be able to move because the grounded stun from her hover move ends right near the end of her UB. It catches otg and tracks to her right. Even if they delayed it a bit, you'd probably get caught by it if you tried to roll because all rolls have a slight delay before you can actually roll, whereas ukemi is instant. The only option here is to ukemi to the side, depending on your position. In SCV, there was a similar set up that natsu used.

Oh, gotcha, I thought Ukemi was rolling. How do you ukemi? I need to replay that damn Libra of Souls tutorial...

Ukemi is done by pressing the block button right when you're about to land and hold any direction you want to instantly wake up. I actually dont see many people doing it. They just either roll or wake up mashing.

I think if you Ukemi to the sides would probably be a really good option to dodge an immediate attack and immediately punish. But i shall try that today. Somebody yesterday literally gave me a lesson for over 30 mins of how to use Yoshi. HE IS DIRTY AS FUCK! OMG! Sooooooo many options and great moves that i need to start utilizing his tricky shit.

BTW....im starting to see less more CaS in ranked and more of the actual cast, but with edited outfits. THIS is actually soooo much better because we're now playing a real match. For now on, if i go up against a CaS with fucked up height, ill just beat em 1 set then bounce. Its literally a waste of time to obtain info if the shit is inaccurate.

few pointers
-After FC 3K do CC(crouch cancel) 3B. It comboes and u can go into the DF For mix
-U should burn more of ur meter. AA A+B is great for plus frames.
-When ur opponent is Near edge or Wall, imcf is ur Best friend. Like 66B to Block, imcf to counter hit For good dmg or RO
-In mid, fish bA counter, good damage and meter steal
-3B into DF on hit and A+B. When u hit K perfectly on landing it gives u rly nice ammount of meter(Not perfect gives little less, fuck up knocks Yoshi down)
-66A+B is great move, nice dmg, and u can choose to go into the pogostick stancee to fish CH launch with b.
Few things came to my mind. Also pogo stance B(down held) gives u plus frames

1) WTF does imcf mean?
2) What does DF mean?

OOOOH! Ok. I understand those combos now. And it all makes sense cuz 2aB is a very fast punch, and on counter hit i can do WR 5A A+B, (in DF) B, 3B then either finish the combo with another B OR continue the oki by holding B into DF stance.

Yoshi is one in depth mo-fo! I really need to lab to get his moves into my muscle memory.

If ur Near Wall or edge after ch imcf, WR B will launch also.
there is few combos

I cant view it while at work but ive seen some crazy wall combos with counter WR B as a launcher.

So apparently....yesterday one of the SC community guys reached out to me so i sent him my PSN for some sparring. This dude went ABOVE AND BEYOND! He saw my video of my matches and came up with a whole teaching class on Yoshimitsu 101 lol. I was like....WHAAAAAA!?

I guess i shared viewing him in practice and he showed me EVERYTHING! So much information, so much to take in, but so much love! The Yoshi community is RIGHTEOUS! And this character has so much dirt, its disgusting! But its a lot to unpack, a lot practicing muscle memory combos, practicing a lot of different key moves.

Ive learned to mostly not finish strings, but online is hard when you're trying to get the faster attack. I'm learning.

HOWEVER i do have a question......how do you teleport from behind the enemey into the stab attack? I know Manji Stance B is front stab, but how to do the other way?

Thoughts on teabagging/taunting in ranked? I had been doing it just for no reason, but noticed people get really salty. I’ll teabag, guard cancel, or taunt. There’s not always a reaction, but when there is, they usually get more aggro and flustered. I also been getting hatemail more, but that’s whatever. It’s 100% from the taunting.

Just curious what y’all think. Does it phase you at all? When someone teabags me it makes me laugh and that’s about it. Maybe I’m just used to people being MAD disrespectful in older fighting games.
