Not gonna lie, recently learned how to ukemi. Tbh, there should be a stand alone tutorial mode in this game for newcomers like myself. Not a text tutorial, an actual tutorial (text tutorial is fine IF you have an actual visual interactive one as well). And no not whatever is in libra of souls, an actual tutorial game mode. Most fighters have this, it helps A LOT.
I would also like a combo trial mode, which is also in a lot of fighters. Again, it helps a lot, but not nearly as much of a necessity as a tutorial mode.
Anyway, still loving Groh. Haven’t gotten nearly as much time with the game as I would like, but my progress is coming a long slowly but surely. It’s hard learning without the aforementioned things, but also having to learn (outside of training mode) through ranked is also slowing progress down. Most people one and done you (win or lose) and since the casual/player match mode is abysmal, it’s irritating af for someone new to the franchise (competitively or otherwise).
I have no problems with the gameplay itself, I love everything. They just handled everything else pretty poorly, imo.
