Soul Calibur 6: THE SOUL STILL BURNS!

LiangHuBBB

Warrior
As a ninja, Taki puts her mission above everything else. She will end evil through her own ways. She seems to show concern to some people who are connected with Soul Edge and warns them the dangers of the evil blade. She can be emotionless and serious, as a ninja should be. She easily sees through deceptions and will use the best attack to defeat her opponent.

Taki truly cares for her apprentice, Natsu, having chosen to take an active part in raising her due to her own perceived failure in stopping Arahabaki in time. However, she has mentally prepared herself to 'do what's necessary' if the seal containing the demon within Natsu were ever broken

Did anyone every figure out what the fastest move in the game is? I'm testing some shit with Azwel and so far I haven't found anything fast enough to beat it.

Azwel's 6B is incredibly strong. Not only does the button just have amazing reach and do 9% crush/16 damage, but it leads into a very strong guessing game:
  • 6BA has insane range, catches 8wr, does 41 damage, and is very safe, especially from max range.
  • 6BB is a mid that deals 12% crush, 25 damage, and is massively plus on block. On hit, it allows for a follow-up attack for a total of 47 damage. On block, you get almost guaranteed:
    • B+K (low, 61 damage, barely beatable)
    • 66B (60 damage combo, extremely safe on block)
    • unavoidable throw except by crouching
    • 6AA: 49 damage, 5% crush, extremely safe, perfect spacing for B+K
    • 3BB: launching mid. 9% crush, or on hit follow up with another 3B for a total of 62 damage
    • Another 6B is unavoidable; it can't be side-stepped or interrupted, only impact-guarded.
    • Stance shenanigans
Similarly, his 6KB is very plus, though not as much as 6BB. It deals a massive 15% crush. On hit, you get a free 6BA combo for a total of 63 damage (78 with 1B followup due to a wall hit, and you'll get a wall hit if you're within a mile of a wall...). On block, you're plus enough for a free 6B, 3AK, or just to walk backwards. However, this only applies to the fastest moves. Against Seigfried, I found I had all of the same options as with 6BB.

How are you testing the frames? Because I made the mistake of testing against the AI, and also thought I had a lot of plus frames. If you set it to block then do a move, it doesn't reversal perfectly. You've got to record it and test it on yourself.

I think the fastest moves are 10f, btw. I know Raphael's 6b and I think 2k are 10f.

The best way imo for now and how i do it - is just to record moves (PC) and then watch it in slow motion, couting frames. It's very precise but also very slow and tedious in a long run. Been doing it for days now and got almost complete frame data on my character (Cervantes).

Ah, gotcha. I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Well, Raph already has full frame data, but I didn't know that at the time.

For some reason, with Azwel, I'm able to get a throw to count as a combo extension. If I do 6AA into a wall hit and follow up with 3B and throw, the throw continues the combo counter for a total of 9 hits, 112 damage. Anyone know what could be going on here? His throw alone does 5 hits, 51 damage. The combo without the throw is registering as 4 hits, 70 damage. I can do it with 100% consistency, so it doesn't seem to be a fluke.

[Edit] It seems to only happen when I have the opponent set to Ukemi left or right.

Anyone has the patch notes?
It's mostly game engine files redownloaded, coz thats how UE 4 is (even minor change and you have to repack all core files to make a patch). The real difference is like 7,5 MB.
From what i can tell, they changed some stuff regarding character customization and multiplayer. No idea what exactly. Have to wait for patch notes.

Giant rainbow cube is now a Canon character.

I tried him a lil bit in training mode, and i dunno man....probably not really my style. I guess i gotta try him a bit more but im the type of person if something/somebody clicks with me, its instant. Azwell aint...but ill try.
He's a lot of fun and seems really good. I hit a 21-streak in Ranked just doing pretty basic shit with him. I've spent the last 2 days in practice mode, seriously like 24 hours, and am still learning new things. I think he can legit be classified as a zoner due to his awesome spacing and projectiles, but his up-close game is still really nasty. He does great damage for how well he can mix you up while remaining safe.

Probably not. ;) They also pernamently banned several cheaters from ranked.

How long, well known was possible bans a known possibility? I mean people can be dicks, and some stuff is just not cool to let happen, but perm bans not even 2 weeks in? They handed a bunch of randoms a toy that unsurprisingly could be used to do goofy shit with, took their money (assuming legit purchases here), and then cut off arguably the most meaningful part of the game days after it came out because of something they kind of were asking for. What qualifies as "inappropriate?" Will that change over time? Can it happen to someone accidentally?

I don't know that I'm OK with that. Surely the game has to take some of the initial blame here. Plug a couple of holes, and toss up "bans will be handed out in the future" dialog when you start the network part. Maybe start by banning someone for a week, then a month, then move on to hammer time. I mean there are a lot of less drastic options to try first.

You guys are evil enough alone, you don't need to band together. That's just an unnecessary amount of evil.

That's coz nobody ever reads TOS, where it's clearly stated that user using any cheats, abusing bugs and MANY other things MAY get banned at any time.

And actually im ok with that. Now people will think twice before doing some of that shit we seen in last week or so. They banned only several people, most got ranked points reseted + warnings, next time perma ban. And im also ok with that.

It's the same in almost every game. If there is only slap on a wrist awaiting "cheaters" - they usually don't care but most (95%) of them will stop if they face perma ban.
