Turns out it's really hard to make a not stupid looking Batman. I tried, and I did not succeed...

So the game has been out for 48 hours, where are the very official and legit tier lists? Wanna make sure Taki is #1 before I fully commit to playing her since I just picked this game up

and his combo potential doesn't seem too too hot either. That could be attributed to me not knowing much about the character's playstyle history, maybe you don't combo much with him, he does seem very poke-y, but like there has to be something.
Raph is very much a poking character, but his pressure can be good because Prep now has all the options necessary to beat most counters. Step? His AB during Prep can counter-hit step into a big combo. 2A? 4 during Prep will auto-GI special lows into a combo. Fast high? Prep auto-ducks highs into Shadow Evade B for big damage. Vertical? Prep B is so fast that you'll likely get a counter hit into a full Prep BBB, which does good damage and knocks down.

Even when he's just poking in neutral, he can be a threat. With time, Raph players will recognize where there are necessary gaps or otherwise slow-ish moves and make them hurt for it with his new B+K and 2B+K. Observe!

(The tweet is corrected in the thread, but the 2A+B only beats tech back and forward, not left!)

Prep being infinitely better now than it was in 5. The character as a whole really.

Anyone know of any good explanations of when RE is best used in the neutral?

Talim for example has one move that is B, B, B. The third "move" of that is actually cancelling that two hit vertical into reversal edge. I suppose that's where my confusing starts, because I don't see the value in "canceling into" reversal edge. Given it's the kind of thing you are generally going to do when you're - on block anyway so you don't need any cancel advantage.

_EDIT_
Thinking of this a bit more. This cancel is a bit unique in that this string that "cancels" into RE can then "cancel" the RE into windsault, or wind step to be evasive, so kinda like a RE I can bail out of more easily? Need to test more how I this actually works out in real situations.

_EDIT NUMERO DUO_

Ok, so TIL Talim can actual go into her Wind Charmer stand from any RE. So that's not even a special attribute of that move. I wonder if it's unique among other characters that she can cancel RE into an advantageous stance

_EDIT NUMERO TRES_

Ok. According to the Talim discord this is appears to be pretty unique to Talim, and may explain why she's nerfed in so many other areas from previous games. Totally going to go on and explore RE fakies as a play style.

After playing as Siegfried a lot, Kilik doesn't seem very good. Unless I'm missing something, Siegfried does pretty much what Kilik does, only with 10 times the damage...

SonicFox said he’s gonna try out Groh, that’s awesome. I can let him do all the work and just copy him! Groh is a lot of fun, I don’t know if he’s top tier or not, but I don’t really care tbh. He’s too fun. I do need to learn more characters though, so lost with what most characters can do.

people are straight up disrespectful with some of the cheap shit in this game though, azwell's soul charge and his whole situation needs to be tuned down. when he activates soul charge he seems impossibly safe on everything.

Haven't played against one yet or even tinkered with him in practice mode. Is he that bad?
