What actually builds meter?

For you guys having trouble stepping REs and verts, just step up/down and 8wr with it. Vs REs, you’ll notice a distinguishable flash and the character will draw back for a few frames. As soon as you see that, step and 8wr up/down and punish as it whiffs. The fastest REs may tag you but if the opponent holds it at all, you’ll walk right around them. Doing an RE is a commitment. Once you see the flash, it’s coming.

Or you can use the breaker attacks every character has. Probably not on reaction though.

I hope its use normalizes, because it's kind of laming out the game. Some people are doing it nonstop. It looks really cool, and I think it will make for good spectating, but it never stops. I know there is a lot of risk already for doing it, but seems like there should be some kind of non-risk price to pay just to keep it from happening constantly. In some fights I'm like "it's my tur...I guess we are doing this again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again."

I think im about 2000. I mean, Uncle JBeezY had a 14 win streak with Yoshi. And out of all the characters i tried in the beta, Yoshimitsu is who ill cause a terror with. Abd that's RIGHTEOUS

I'm just over 2k. I played a fair bit. I do not have one of those fancy 14 win streaks. Maybe one day.

I'm sold on the game, if me posting a thousand times wasn't clue enough.

Lol, downloaded 20 mins ago (last SC was SC2, but damnit I fancy some 3D) and accidentally mashed this out. We’d been exchanging 3 hit stuff for 4 rounds then this happened.

I actually quite like Sophitia’s design from what little I can currently work out, my favourite so far. Any tips in general for her frame/string wise? Also, what do I do against random super moves in nooch? I can’t seem to block/dodge...

Nightmare is OP as fuck in this game. Crazy normals, crazy range, and crazy damage with his attacks converting into throws. Ridiculous.

His armored stuff is really lame. He has an armored super too.

Yeah...ive experienced that dumb shit where characters like Yoshi have their supers stuffed out. And thats another thing i HATE about 6. Supers getting stuffed by button mashing where others have armor. Thats some bullshit

Just made a pretty cool comeback on a Nightmare. Was down 2-0 in round, he had full health I had like 10%. Got a ring out, then cameback and the final round I got a perfect! Wasn’t amazing play but uploading it anyway. He was straight owning me and I adapted

Im at 2200 for Nightmare and 500 for Yoshi.

So nightmares ce is just gonna be one of those moves that will always hit me throughout the life of the game. That thing catches sidestep, auto gi's, and can be unlockable.

Well it’s lame having armor in general. I’ve never liked the armor concept in fighting games, it’s annoying to me. For Nightmare, it could be average at best, I have no idea.

And so far the best character I’ve faced is definitely Siegfried. Definitely going to need to lab him to figure him out once the game drops. He owns my soul... calibur

I feel like Supers and RE's happen too frequently and distracts from actual gameplay. What do you all think? Btw, I have a lot of leveling up to do. I've mostly played SC1 and SC3
