Gonna be recommitting to DBFz. BBTag is fun and Im still playing, but I want to focus on DBFz a lot more than I have been lately.
I've been a Kid main since forever, but I think I'm going to sideline him. Obviously not for anything he's lacking, but just to do something a little different than I have been.
I've been soul and info searching a lot the last week and a half or so, and poor
@xQUANTUMx has had to endure my massive theory/thought-turds multiple times daily.. all said and done though, I THINK I have it.
21 - Tien - ssVegeta. In that order.
Nothing earth shattering here. The Char/Char/ssVegeta base is probably the most common thing in the game, with good reason. My choices are a marriage of characters I like, with characters that are effective and a sprinkling of not wanting to just play Cell. 21 has been one of my favs since like day 3 when I unlocked her, iust haven't found room for her in the past. I can't claim to be some OG Vegeta loyalist though. I came to him originally because his assist is.. well, his assist. Luckily I like him quite a lot besides though. Tien is new though. Never played him. Never been REALLY drawn to him aside from likeing his kit.
I'm building based on a twin-point theory, with the literal point, 21, having decent synergy with the mid, and both having strong synergy with the anchor. Twin point just means I'm taking two characters that I feel work well up front. Both characters are going to aggressively turn meter in to damage, and make the best use of what assists/dhc options are available. Tien dhcing a Vegeta assisted 21 combo is a lot of damage. 21 with Vegeta assist doesn't have much trouble making 6k out of a bar midscreen.
I don't think Tien is actually that great as an anchor. If anyone cares I can elaborate, but won't unless asked.
I wanted three characters that could play the neutral well, that could convert into big damage, that worked well on their own, and that I found interesting. Tien is still an unknown quantity for me, I like pretty much everything about him, but until I get some match time with him it's hard to know for sure. If he washes out, I'll likely replace him with AG, or, if I can reconcile myself to it, Bardock. Ultimately, Im hoping this is a good 'teaching' team, and can help me level up a little. Ive never been much above average at DBFz, and I'd like to step up my game a little bit.
