Are ya' ready for MK11 kids?!
Mixed feelings about that match. Spain were noticeably out of ideas but Russia didn't really look like scoring other than their penalty (which I'm not even sure should have been given, looks like a deliberate header towards Pique's hand). Going to a shootout against the host nation is always tough too.

That notwithstanding, Tiki Taka is dead if there was any doubt. Real/Barca/Atletico carried by international talent confirmed.

What a shocking start!

Can't believe what Perišić missed. :O

Let's go Croatia, we got this!

Im disappointed with Rakitić tonight, hasn't done anything worth mentioning and he made a tricky mistake in the first half. Rebić is great though.

Croatia was better in the 1st half, Denmark in the 2nd. Damn, drama is coming. Croatia always loses in extra time and penalties, this doesn't look good. :(

Spain was lacking everything you excpect from a champion, I never liked them but at least they used to show some respectable plays, today they played just bad. Russia seemed confortable losing 1×0 lol but them Pique decided to do a disco jump with his arm streched and gave them a penalty (it was a anti-natural movement leading to the ball hitting his arm so the referee made the right call). After that Russia just chilled with 25% of possession as Spain was offering no risk at all with the lack of creativity and individual talent. I'd say both teams played very poorly but at least Russia was smart enough to save their legs for penalties.

After tragic losses at Euro 2008 and Euro 2016, it's about time we won a drama game like this.

God bless VAR and the honesty it delivers. All the over-rated dogs (Spain/Portugal/Germany/Argentina, Brazil's next) are getting sent home. The end of corrupt/biased refereeing is showing a different picture altogether.

Go Russia! Go Uruguay! Go Japan! Go Mexico! Go underdogs! you've got this!

They were very fortunate to win. They played poorly in the second half and Modric missed a penalty in extra time.
Yeah we played poorly in the 2nd half, but we were better in the first half. We should have been up 2-1 at the HT, can't believe that Perišić missed that one rebound with an empty goal infront of him. I don't remember Denmark having any chances as big as that one in the 2nd half. All together, I'd say Croatia was just slightly better, but far from impressive.
