What do you do when MK11's roster is only the newbies from MKX + fresh wave of young adults

Yes... Replace Sub Zero with Frost and Takeda for Scorpion for all I care. Give her a whole new move-set so people stops the ice Clone whining once for all, and Takeda too.. But but the ice clone... But but the swords!. And on the other side every char and their sons are at tourneys instead of the OP ice clone user and The Op sword user. What a coincidence!.

Cassie could never truly replace Johnny Cage, even if they have the same move set. Mortal Kombat is more than just fighting moves. same reason why Frost could/would never replace Sub-Zero.

The charm and personality of Johnny Cage can't be replicated.

Johnny was never liked that in the games though. That's just the movie.
In MK9 he was a douchebag, in MKX he was actually likable for the very first time (imo).

Uh..from what I remembered in the forum when mk9 came out, everybody loved Johnny and thought he was great and funny after playing the story mode.

I can't speak for everyone else. Only for myself. And I never liked him until MKX. But I could do without him.

He is a cocky asshole, that still fights for the good guys and hit on the ladies. His movie persona was the same as his video game one.

Newbies is one thing but the young adult/ offspring concept in a ruthless fight-to-the-death fg was offputting and uncreative imo. Just bring in a new wave of unrelated, original characters

imo new characters should complement the classic characters not replace them, otherwise its not mk at least not to me and i hate the idea that characters need to be story relevant or otherwise they are not worthy of the slots, like fuck off, this is a fighting game at its core not another story driven action adventure casual game from sony and the likes
