What's up folks! These are my solo combos so far with Bardock. The button notations are included as always, no assists to leave room for experiments with your own personal teams and the Super Meter on all of these(except for the Lvl.3 example at the end) is set at 1 to show the meter gain/usage. Hope this helps anyone who's been looking for more combos with notations, etc for the Father of Goku. He's a blast to play and been having a lot of fun with him in the lab so far. Have fun!

So what do u guys think of Broly so far? IDK, i got about 1h yesterday to try him out and Im still not sure what I think of him so far.

There are plenty of videos of him doing the 100+% dmg but all of them are really just impractical. Whiffing the first hit of the auto combo for the fked up dmg scaling. That's not how it works in real match against opponent who knows his and yours options. Not at all. That's why u don't see such things in any of the high level plays, heck even in casuals/ranked against any decent player.

However I think that he still might get decent dmg in the corner without the auto-combo gimmicks and his gameplan should rely mostly using those armored frames and command grabs to get them to the corner and then fk em' up there.

Any thoughts?

Probably you had 7 full bars and did the L autocombo to summon Shenlong during the match. Maybe you need to go over the tutorials again?

I knew how to summon him I wasn't trying to do it until the last 2 balls, the thing was there was a time limit to pick the options and it confused me cuz I play on keyboard and my buttons are mapped all over the place. Maybe I need to do all the tutorials again :( lol

Yeah his combos midscreen are trash without resources (meter/assist). He actually combos a bit like Nappa, which has helped in pickin him up, but might mean they struggle together.

He seems designed to get you to the corner then spend resource like crazy... possibly better suited in a team with a battery or two.

If you’re prepared to spend lots of meter he can bring some serious pain.

Haven't messed with Broly too much yet, been focusing on Bardock. Character is dope. Easy big damage corner combos using level 1 links with Vegeta or beam assists, 236H goes full screen, crosses up on block, is safe, and is fast af.

Easy splats anywhere on the screen with 214M (has sliding corner carry similar to Black's 236M/H series too tho not quite as good), decent normals, and has a really good pressure/combo extension assist (at least for my current team).

Only gripe atm but it's still early so hot take, but I feel like invincibility on level 1 is a bill. Any time I've tried it to escape pressure or punish, I've gotten vanished on reaction.

Broly gets like 5 to 6k midscreen. Not sure why people say he doesnt do damage.

2M5M jMjL, jLjM 214M, delayed vanish, dash, 2M5M, jLjM, jLjM jS super. Or just end with 2M5M super if you dont want to spend the extra meter.

2M5M2H, sd, jMjL, jLLL, vanish, dash, 2M5M, same ender options.

His damage is fine.

He still gets insane dmg in corner with j.H, 5M,2Mxx236S. I think that he has to be played very very differently than others, basicly just armor, armor, armor. That shit is Hard to play against if played right

Honestly....*sigh*....ive learned not to go online with day one new characters lol. So lost with both of these two cuz either of them fit on my team. I would have to create a brand new team and start from ground 0. I really do NOT want to do that, therfor, im kinda un-interested into really labbing with these two too much.

Combos are great n shit, but the NEUTRAL is what really is important in this game to even land those combos. I can see Bardock struggling to land a hit, and even Broly has awesome armored attacks, hes not even remotely close to mobile as 16.

Lets keep it ALL THE WAY LIVE, do anybody REALLY plan on maining these two in their main team ?Question mark?

Like I said I only had 1hr to play him. Today im going off with my squad but tomorrow... Tomorrow is a BROLY day.

After all my profile title is the way it is for a reason lol.

P.S. My only gripe is that I might need to change him as my point guy instead of Kid Buu, which I really dont wanna do.

Lol this shit sucks. But I didn’t watch any videos or anything. Just got to play him for and hour last night. Had no idea he had a solo ToD, lmao. Oh well, really liking Broly so far!

He's cool and I look forward to watching him for sure - but I wont be playing him myself. Just didnt click with me. Bardock I like better, but still not enough to trade anyone for - and on top my main training partner called him when he was announced and we dont overlap.

I'm sticking with TGohan and Vegeta and swapping between Hit and Kid depending on my mood. I'm not trying to win Evo over here, just have fun.

FO REAL THO! Its like my team is already locked in and i JUST got them to gel well with each other which is already tricky as fuck. Now i gotta find room for these two that im not really feeling?? Yeah, im coo....already anticipating the next two characters. Until then, ill just watch everbody's videos on what cool shit they come up with the new characters but not really interested investing too much time with them myself.

Bardock is a faster version of Yamcha with a launcher basically. I mean, he can convert off ALOT of stuff into any damn super, which is nice. But that lack of projectile is a HUGE flaw. He needs a beam assist character to move in.

His combos are quite unique but at the end of the day, if your neutral sucks ball sack, you can't even land a hit to show off everything you "labbed." right?
