talk about hypocritical, give a real response to the question instead of just mocking the question if you don't want people to respond with something as mild as calling your response small minded. It had nothing to do with you disagreeing with me, I already said before you responded that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I understand personal taste, and I asked the question because i WANTED to hear the opinion of people who disagreed

thats not a plain fact thats the definition of opinion, and I didn't say nobody likes him, I said people DO like him and I asked why, and all you've done is point at different people liking him. TastySteve liking his casting doesn't mean I gotta like him, it just means we have a different opinion, what's with the butthurt about this? You've just turned this into nothing but insult slinging match, and its is beyond hypocritical, you're blowing up calling me all these names for just asking a question, all you're doing is showing you are indeed that lowest common denominator audience

Anyway. Someone in a twitch chat (suspect source, obviously) said that max said A16's 5H armor was nerfed in the build he was playing during the Broly stuffs.

Right now it's basically as reliable as "my cousins friends mom in japan has a friends dad who saw it."

Interesting... considering 5H didnt have armor on startup anyway. Maybe it only has armor on the later active frames or something now? I dont even know if that even makes sense. Lol we'll see.

Gotta eat crow about all the stuff i said about 16s hkd setups not being that bad. Played a really good one with tight execution and even when i saw what was coming i was getting hit anyway.

anyway how doestym feel about some of the weaker characters? i see a lot of talk about who's too strong, but what about characters like krillin or tien who we just haven't seen at all yet? are these characters unsuitable for competitive play do they need changes? i know its still early, so ill leave characters like Nappa and gotenks out of this because they might be ones that just take time, but the first two i mentioned arent incredibly deep characters are they just not going to be seen ever without changes? opinions

Just about everyone is viable. Tien actually gets used alot. Dont really know much about krillin, but i did play a really good one today.

Interestingly, Krillin and Tien are pretty deep.. Krillin relies on strong setups and mindgames to approach, pressure and keep his pressure. Setting up proper Bean assists isnt easy either. Tien isnt deep in the same way, though his neutral and pressure has more going on than a lot of characters and you need good general game awareness and such to make the most of his meter-dump to kill, and so on.

I'm not trying to be contentious for the sake of it, just that I think neither of them are shallow by any means. Tien actually sees a lot of play at high levels.. not a lot in comparison to Black and 16 and such, but he has representation. Krillin sadly doesnt. He needs something to distinguish him from characterss that do what he does, or something similar at least, but better or more reliably. IMO his Bean stuff needs work, or maybe a small damage kick across the board just to make his extra work really worth it.

Similar to A.Gohan’s corner machine gun leg pressure loop, found something with Vegeta that is nowhere near as good, but still decent.

Not sure if this is all a true blockstring. The way I know is that if they remain in the blocking animation, it’s a true blockstring. You’ll see with A.Gohan’s assist he comes out of it, but that was just bad timing, you gotta be pretty perfect with his assist for this. Really wish there was a way to set the dummy to reversal on block like in Injustice 2, kinda hard to test how viable this is.

Another ToD with my team. This time hit confirm sparking, requires only lvl 1 A.Gohan.

Also recorded this poorly. It only requires 1 bar of meter, also didn’t even mention that. I’m having so much fun still finding cool shit with my SAME team I’ve used pretty much since beta (except had reg Goku in beta since black wasn’t available).

As much as it hurts my team (Piccolo, Nappa, Vegeta) it's going to be interesting to see what new teams arise when there isn't the magical super-glue that is Vegeta's assist to make any team work together.

I'm currently trying out Piccolo, Yamcha, and Krillin. Starting to like it. Though I'm not sure how much of my after-image shenanigans are legit or just a complete bill. I just do block string -> assist -> after image -> "left right mixup"

Krillin actually might be a decent battery.

I've also heard a "nerf" to 16 was they reduced armor on his 5h to just one hit. There may be more though

Yeah combo related. It’s the only single assist that allows saiba-summon mid combo. Nappa’s lvl1 also converts afterwards using Veg-assist (as loads do oc).

Optimistically, he’ll still be able to covert after summon with worse buttons, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. If he’s substantially worse, I’m done. He’s not exactly an advantage rn, except other people’s mu unfamiliarity.

Tbh, the hurt will be real... he’s my first (and as yet, only) real love in this game. I’ll hide it well and move along, Broly looks big enough to fill the void lol.

Doubt many will believe it, but I’m a big fan of Nappa in the anime too. Still remember how awesome his power felt when he first let loose in the Saiyan saga. Gave me shivers....

Sad times, but it’s w/e I guess...

I’ve been thinking about getting some Krillin. TGohan, Yamcha, Tien and Ginyu are candidates too. Vegeta will always be in the Team... we’ll see if it’s ss/ssb.
