I'm not buying it with SSB Vegeta

Share two things for me, share his hard hitting combo, and tell me what this cool mixup is and maybe I'll be able to bump him a notch above weakest scharacter in the game
I found it. I apologize man, I don’t remember seeing this when you posted it.

I’ll either have to find the footage of Fame doing it or recreate it for you. Hopefully will have time before the end of the week to either find the clip or upload my own.

And to clarify, I’m not suggesting he is a top character or anything. There’s a few characters right now that have those spots basically solidified... at least for now. I’ve also been working on some shenanigans with him.

Just bare with me please GC. I’m working hella hours at work. I could have possibly had some time to lab more last night but I had to go find a friend who went missing. A friend who has been depressed and he posted some dumb shit on social media then disappeared. I cannot lose anyone else in my family (he’s like a brother to me) from this shit so I’ve just been a bit scrambled and off my game recently. I’ll try and get to it soon, no worries brother.

I have friends on DBZ doesn't mean they are on all the time or play every character in the game (who tf plays Ginyu?). Seriously is it unreasonable to want the game to have a feature like EVERY other fighting game? Again ring matches are not a good substitute if you wanna play randoms.
It’s not unreasonable at all. I’m just saying there’s other solutions you can do in the meantime until they address and/or fix the problem. Ring matches are by far the best way I have found to level up in this game onlne.

So I turned on my Xbox for the first time in months to watch the walking dead. I'm debating of I should demoralize some white squares or just hop on my ps4. Buhahaha what if I get demoralized by a white square.

We're all from Earthrealm. If not, cool pic brah.

no worries, i just thought you might have skipped over it and you did so I'm just wondering what it is. SSB is to me the worst character in the game, and I'm willing to be talked out of it, because I don't see what's good about him in any way at all. Only reason I've seen ppl say good stuff bout him so far is "but his rekkas" and "but his combos" and both of them seem bad to me, the mix-up is telegraphed by mb flash, and the damage is just expensive ?? I'm not seeing it but i might be missing something

Hoping like hell i can make Teen Gohan click. He's so fucking cool.

What do you guys think about order here?

I was thinking something like TG - Hit - Black. Black is who I consider my anchor for a handful of reasons.. but at the same time, I could run him out front with TG Mid, while still keeping Black as the anchor..

I know that sounds weird, leading off with an "anchor" but I don't necessarily consider my anchor to be the last character in the order of appearance, so much as the last character standing by the end of the match, catastrophe not withstanding, and I can always lead off with him as a means of generating some meter and giving me a powerful character to establish myself with. Black does well without meter and he's hard to pin down. He does well with meter too of course.. and his assist is enormously strong. Strong neutral.. so to me, he's got a lot going for him starting the match. I can get a feel for things, try to bully a little and make use of everything he has to offer and when he takes some damage, tag him out and get his assist on deck for TG with some meter to back up his crazy strong level 1, or even some early use of his lv3/5, and of course the 1001 uses Hit gets from Black's assist.

I see this weird 1st 2nd 3rd mentality with characters and I don't see the reason to be so rigid with it.. this game has tons of easy and profitable ways to tag in and out and with the amount of blue health you can regen and such.. I just think the process is more fluid and open to interpretation and creativity.

TG as lead is different, but could work in your favor because his hurt box is very small lol. I tried doing combos with Frieza on TG and one move particularly cant even hit to extend my air combo. So im assuming other characters may have the same issue. ALSO he's one of the very few with a level 5. Goku Black as anchor is pretty strong considering he's one of the best characters in the game. Sounds like you got a unique team :)

You need to record some matches so we can see how everything meshes together ;)

Don't know if you'll be on around noon or so but I'm hoping to try and get back on then. I want to put teen Gohan into some actual games. I have yet to play him against a human, and I'd like to get a feel for him verse a person

ok guys chose this one because i got wrecked then kind of turned it around. Is that overhead slash plus? I also need to solidify my conversion I had a crucial drop which may have cost me the game. And finally I cancel 2h I believe on habit it's natural I mentioned in an above post how insane gamestop was having a tourney for release so for some odd reason I cannon llcmm unless I am actively thinking about it. It's weird let me know what you guys think.
Im running this team in an effort to learn the game in a better way
Beam assist to get in keep.some safety etc etc.
Welp...THAT was a comeback! lol But maaaan you were hesitant as shit! You reaked of FEAR at the very beginning. A good player can pick up on the way you move REAL QUICK, especially since you were dropping combos. So immediately your opponent took advantage of that. Don't play too cautious, and think on the fly. Always try to keep your whole team in rotation to keep em alive. Find a quick way to tag em out after you reach about half health. Easier said than done, right? Its all practice practice practice. Labbing can get you so far, but fighting in real time really teaches you what works. So far, you're pretty good and i can tell you're better than this match. You just seemed a bit nervous. Keep up the online play man :)

Yeah I am down I am still trying to find a 3rd for my team, just kinda bummed the assist is pretty much a deciding factor.

Who are you running right now?

I'm a scumbag and run hit and black and I'm deciding between kid and teen Gohan, with a very tiny sprinkling of highly doubtful Goku blue

Well the past couple days Trunks, blugeta and black my team switches all the time though. I am trying fat buu in the lab right now but he feels weird to me. His standing jabs wiff on normal sized crouching and his bnb path is strange with 2m 2s 5l. He seems fun though and has a decent assist but it may not be what I need.

@axcelerate

Watched the video. A quick things I noticed.

1) you got opened up quickly. You were too impatient under pressure and kept hitting buttons at the wrong time, respect the pressure and just block it out. Block more in general.

2) assists aren't just to cover you getting in, they're there to keep you in and keep your offense going. I saw you burn them trying to get in, and even then the timing wasnt great so they didn't do hardly anything for you.. if you watch a lot of high level matches they tend to earn their way in first, then use assists to either cover them when negative or to facilitate mix. blacks beam is especially nasty at covering mix.

For example, I saw a couple times in the match where you snapped out a H or 2H that was blocked, then immediately SD'd. You ate your opponent's 2H for your troubles there, had you had an assist on deck though you could have used it to cover the blocked H/2H so if they read and tried to punish the SD, you'd have opened them up, or at least covered that approach. Repeat until they respect the
Threat of the assist after a 2H and just keep blocking, then that situation opens up and you can use them blocking to reset into standard blockstring pressure, a DR, another SD, use the assist to run mix.. etc.

We didn't get to see any real offense out of you I feel like, due to how quickly your first two characters went down and due to your opponent basically blocking with his face most of the match when you had momentum as Black.. so it's hard to comment on much else right now. I did notice you had some kinda weird SD's. A lot actually ended up landing towards the end and netting you some damage, but that was more because your opponent just didn't know how to block. For instance, you used the SDs at semi close range from grounded neutral to catch him on approach, and it worked, don't get me wrong, but a simple 2m probably would have as well without the risk of a 2H punish and the benefit of some blockstring pressure off it if blocked and significantly more damage if landed.

Don't take anything I'm saying as douchey please, im a shit player, just going off observation and it looked like you really needed to work on your defensive patience and some of your neutral decision making.

However, it really did seem like you read some of your opponent's tendencies towards the end and you def stayed cool and collected to bring the match back like you did.

This is something I do myself when I can and it's always gotten me really good results. When you play, don't play to win. Play to work on some aspect of your game. Decide before a session and say "ok I'm going to work on my defense" and for all your matches that session hang back , play passively and let them come in the run pressure. Concentrate on just beating pressure, blocking correctly and keeping characters healthy. Or spend a session working on your mobility. Spend matched trying to avoid the opponent or to run them down with your movement. For me, this has always been a good way to fold concepts into my game play.. because when I go in to a match and im trying to concentrate on asissts and neutral and reads and coverage and metsr and available tools and my movement and my opponents movement and combos and extensions and she to dhc or whatever.. it's just overwhelming and I usually end up learning far less than had I just sat there and worked on a single thing. You have to play to win a little bit here and there just to know where you stand and how your improving.. but with me what generally happens is after a couple extended sessions playing and concentrating on, say, defense, I realize I'm making defensive decisions more intuitively and naturally and I don't have to concentrate quite so much anymore on it, that's when I move on to something else. Find friends and play casual matches if you're worried about rank loss and such.

Not three full seconds but long enough to land, not quite realize it, input a special that came out correctly (as if I was having the right way) and sent me flying off the opposite direction leaving me and my training partner laughing our asses off. I'd say a good second and a half. I even recovered facing the wrong way, but he had SD'd and it slammed into me, so I don't know how long it would have remained that way.

Yea i think i did 2 air mediums in the wrong direction with kid buu (probably not 3 seconds but still), i understand the first 1 couldve been due to being crossed up during animation, but then i did it again like wtf lol he still facing the damn wall! why buu??? I really hope i can find it in the replay, maybe i did something to cancel the auto correct...

Oh hell yeah, Ive done two j.M's with Kid before myself, that move specifically is weird AF..

Also, I just got Gohan's corner meterless BnB down I think. Took way the shit too long, I had watched some footage of Sled and notated his combos and I guess I wrote it down wrong, so I was trying like hell to make something work that.. well, cant, lol. Got it though. essentially 4.2-5k meterless in the corner off almost any starter isnt bad... but I wish I had the option to extend with meter.

4720 off 2M with relative consistency. Gotta be a little quick on the ender, but nothing crazy.
