I prefer to stay away from god tier characters, because a. they have the strongest chance of being nerfed and b. winning is much less rewarding when you play an overplayed character c. so much less hype for matches

Adult Gohan, Black and Kid Buu are probably top 3 right now, and I already have Buu, so I feel what Entropic is saying. But Adult Gohan at least isn't just dull like top tiers usually are so he's not off the list.

I get that, but no character is god tier in DBFZ.

What I meant was, play who you like. If they are top tier who cares? I play characters that fit my playstyle or that I like for whatever reason (their look, fan of the character, etc). Not a huge A.Gohan fan lore wise, but his playstyle fits me perfectly, he’s essentially a UMK3 character with his pressure and damage. And he’s one of the only characters that can actually “power up”, which is awesome imo.

Vegeta is my favorite DBZ character, so he will probably always be on my team unless Vegito is an actual character for DLC.

And Goku Black is in my top 3 fav characters, and he’s so fucking sick in this game.

My fav DBS character is Hit, which he’s on one of my alt teams. He’s just gonna require a little more work, and right now I just want more simple/basic characters.

Nah, you said god tier characters. I said no characters are god tier. And you should play who you like regardless. But it depends on what you want out of the game. If you’re just gonna play casually, it doesn’t really matter. If you’re gonna compete, purposely handicapping yourself can do nothing but hurt you in the long run.

Specifically in DBFZ... Purposely NOT playing a character simply because they are good means you aren’t going to be playing ANY character, lmao. Every character is good. There’s not really top tiers in the traditional sense. Just characters that are more well rounded and more used.

Gohan is my favourite DBZ character, and Adult just clicked with me instantly. So he won't be going anywhere anytime soon - even if they decide to tone him down. Man is so much fun and comeback potential on anchor is retarted good.

Finally started the online grind over the weekend. 100+ matches so far across various modes. Actually out of all of those only had like 5 or 6 with noticeably bad connections and minimal rage quits but maybe I just got lucky lol.

Arena matches are a cool concept, but when you're in que with 8-10 other people and continuously get matched up with the same player, it kinda kills the magic.

Ring matches still inconsistent. Was finally able to get one going by setting up a room and having the other party leave the lobby then come back while I held the room. I'm hearing people are finding success through empty Asian or Canadian rooms though but I haven't tried that yet.

All in all I'm in love with this game. So much fucking fun dudes. But I really hope ArcSys implements some sort of change to matchmaking methods soon.

Definitely the most balanced without a question imo. I don’t think a single character should be nerfed at all for AWHILE. I think after 6 months they could then look and see if any character(s) need tweaking.

You do NOT have to reset your console as some have claimed. Just close your GAME completely and reload it.

I recently made Tien my anchor, and I'm having a lot of fun with him. Tick grabs, OH/low specials for mixups, great range on his L and decent on M, and great meterless solo dmg. Surprised I don't see more discussion on him (unless the self dmg supers are keeping people away, which admittedly I think is beyond stupid for his level 1 to do around 10% to himself every time).

Right now I've got my team as Hit, Trunks, and Tien. Nothing special in the way of assist synergy, but they've got mixups for days.

Thanks! I'll try this next time I get on. Still crazy that we even have to consider means such as this just for wanting to play with a buddy lol. But ArcSys has at least been made painfully aware of it so hopefully we'll see some changes before too much longer.

Not sure if it's true, however. I don't have the game, but I like to read about it.

Damn, Foxy gave me some amazing tech with Frieza and Adult Gohan.

You can do an early DHC into his level 1 after Frieza's deathball and combo off it with a superdash for big damage.

At the moment it's Adult Gohan, Goku, and Frieza.

Foxy uses the same but in the order of: Frieza, Gohan, Goku.

I plan on messes around with other characters but I won't to settle on a team I like first.

Autcombos aren't as bad as they sound, they have a lot of utility and interesting mechanics around them, I'm making a video about them. I wanted to finish it today but I'm taking the misses out for her birthday, hopefully tomorrow.
But yes if you're holding back you get regular jabs instead of the autcombo string, no real use from doing that aside from winning a jab to jab clash though.

By god tier I clearly just meant highest tier characters, or characters that are a tier above the rest. Which some characters are in most people's opinion. It doesn't mean Ivan Ooze tier. Not sure why it bother's you so much but nobody is purposefully handicapping themselves from their goals, I don't know what else I can do but copy paste the last time it was explained to you. I'm guessing you were in too much of a rush to write up a response on how we should all be playing top tiers that you didn't actually read that?
