U keep saying a lot of 214's but no idea if your speaking of L or SMy initial impression of this character was that he isn't that good, possibly even low tier. A few things have changed my mind.
236 is neutral on block. I might just be that psycho who pokes after. It makes it a lot more tempting to throw it out whenever knowing it can't be punished on block.
His LLL auto combo can be cancelled into a 214S for a fast crossup that does decent damage with a vanish. On block *with a vanish* it's slightly plus due to the block stun from 214S but it's punishable raw. There are other crossup options available like using assists or using 214L, S for a double crossup. You can also empty 214S (hold the input) but it's punishable. Idk how you would combo 214S with an assist though.
If your opponent blocks LLMMHS midscreen you can 214 and get a crossup jL due to the pushback. The corner potential for 214 is also great, but risky.
On block you can air S directly into 214L (H) to go in or 214M (S) to throw another ki blast. Once he's in the air, he has a lot of options. Actually, you could ki blast three times - j S air dash S 214L/M S.
Now I'm not sure about this one... But I want to say that I DHCd into his lvl 3 on block and it connected. This was against the AI. It was at the end of the animation so the opponent wasn't in block stun but the DHC still came out. That was pretty bangin.
I still don't think he's as good as some other characters, but he has some dirt nonetheless.
Sorry man, I edited it. I meant L. I'm new to this notation, hope I'm doing it right.U keep saying a lot of 214's but no idea if your speaking of L or S
Its also worth noting that DH can interupt lots of trunks pressure coming from the air, so canceling jump ins or 214L's with S is a thing, but then that can be super dashes
The move where he flips has no hitbox, but u can cancel a normal out of it turning the normal into an overheadThinking about trying this character. Isn't his flip slash move unblockable? I keep getting hit by that shit online lol
Got you, check my latest postcan someone better than me give me inpouts to this crazy shit? https://twitter.com/NY_Teiga/status/957180776856129537
I got the whole 5L 2M 5S 214S slight delay into 2MH 5S 214L into askdshfsifsdkgslgslgsghagaslghasl
Nice, ive seen some of your videos before didn't know u was here on tym. Keep it up man, awsomeThese are my BnB's with Trunks I've been able to pull off so far. I always include notations, keep the Super meter at 1 to show meter gain and use no assists to leave room for experiments with your own personal teams and assists. Hope this helps since I've seen a few of you asking about combos and how to do some of this stuff. Have fun!
Ah wow thanks, appreciate it! Yeah I've been coming by these forums every once in a while since Injustice 1 came out. Haha. Thanks againNice, ive seen some of your videos before didn't know u was here on tym. Keep it up man, awsome
That's dirty. Those command flip links are a demon conjured by ArcSys.This was the best I’ve come up with so far regarding Trunks. https://twitter.com/thashivegeek/status/959679468586635264

How realiable do you find the combo?
EDIT: just noticed that the counter turns blue so the combo could have been air-tech'd by the opponent. Have you been able to land it without the tech?
Yeah, the crossups you get with this are insane. While mashing out LLL, you can call an assist for an easy hard to blockable crossup with 214S, then vanish for a triple crossup. Not to mention you can always M flip to move away to safety after LLL instead, or L flip to cross back over.Autocombo on block into 214Sp is op
