Most def gonna take a look at that. Ive noticed alot of higher players use their Z-Assist consistently. My question is...is there a down time after using a assist?
Yeah there is, it's also quite noticeable.

Good use of assists is definitely something that will help level us up. There are multiple uses aside from the casual combo/damage extender, most notably to lock someone down, continue block pressure, make moves safe and giving cover to advance in on the opponent.

I think the further we dig into combo and damage potential the smaller the need will be to use the assists, and the meter, solely to increase damage. Using them strategically for the things listed above would make more sense and lend for more chances to not only deal damage but do it safely.

This may already be well known to people, moreso those who frequently play MVC and the like, but to me this is all revelation.

Just need to implement it in real situations in real time

True indeed. For me, its kinda hard to realize that there's an assist when you're so caught up in the moment of just whooping ass lol. Then when i do use an assist, i dont realize there's down time. Which is probably why i couldn't tag into that assist after using it. OOOOOOOOOH i get it now hahah FACK!

I hear that! It's a truly alien button for me. This is why I'm crying out for some lab time. Desperately need to teach myself to implement assists at certain times instead of remembering I have an assist and pressing it just because it is available.

So many levels

It’s actually more like Marvel than KI. Chaining normals together in ascending till eventually canceling into a launcher/special.
Well it feel more like BB and GG more then anything to me. Just the difference in utilizing auto and manuals reminded me of KI. You would want to use and learn both.

The auto combos include moves and animations that are tied to auto combos only so I would have to agree.

I don't think it's a case of auto combos just being easy mode for new players. There is definitely some usage to them

I agree. I did find some execution with the manuals after doing a manual into a launcher to another manual, then jump cancel to another manual for a knockdown or cancel in super move. Big thing I realized is not everyone is the same which I love to take into the lab when the game launches next week.

Really excited to learn this game basically from scratch and try out all the characters in training mode. Idk what to do right now, I don’t have DBFZ to play or watch... like everything else is boring me to tears right now.
I know, right?! Tfw playing 15 mins of every game I have, then start daydreaming about dbfz.

Thats the beauty of this game. Everybody got the same tools, but its different execution, so not all manuals link together with the normal formula. Especially Kid Buu. He's on a whole other level of normals!

RIGHT!? FUCK! Hahah thats all i can think about and all the other games are just....meh....well except Tekken is still fun, but DBFZ has brought out that fun factor that has been missing in fighting games for a verrrrry long time!

As a matter of fact...i am gonna be putting some footage together of some badass matches. That will at least make you re-LIVE the experience lol.

I also feel like Nappa is the hidden top tier a lot of people are sleeping on. You gotta see someone like tatsu to see just how much of a monster he is

I think a lot of people recognise his potential, it's probably more to do with the lack of practice mode to be able to get a handle on his saibamen shinanigans.

Having a saibamen and assist on screen causes some absolute carnage.

Dedicated Broly main
I mean Broly was like in EVERY db game there was lol. So yeah heh - I think its just a matter of time. It would be a dumb decision from business side to not include him. I mean Broly = $$$$$

Uncle JBeezY LOOOOVES how this game is bringing the excitement to you guys that a fighting game hasn't done in a VERY long time!

With that said....did y'all here some rumors going around of the leaked DLC ?Question mark? Ummmmm....I don't know how i feel about this....but 3 characters so far are...

1) Broli (super saiyan)
2) Base form Goku
3) Bade form Vegeta

..............................

Broli yes, but the other 2....I REALLY HOPE THIS AIN'T TRUE!

That list is bogus, it had Goku black and hit listed as dlc so you can count it out.

Dlc wise i think there's a few guaranteed slots.
Broly/Kale, Bardock (sadly), Jiren and Kefla are imo 100% shoe-ins for dlc.
They're too popular and with Kefla's case it's to add more females coz you still can't make a waifu team in a team game lol.
Mr.Satan is also a strong candidate imo but dunno if they'll risk having a joke character as dlc.
Vegito and Toppo are also possible depending on what happens in these next few DBS episodes.

My personal wishlist is Caulifla (unlikely coz of Kefla), Super 17 (unlikely coz LOLgt), Videl (also unlikely coz wtf is she gonna do) and Janemba (strongest shot out of all of them but dunno if they'll go that route).

Sub-Zero hater.
I'm really not too big on the newer characters. I'd be infinitely more hype to play as Zarbon or Dabura than Jiren, but I know I'm in the minority there.
