Well obviously the beta overall was a shitshow with the "failed to initialize network" nonsense and many waiting hours in the lobbies for matches, but in theory it should match you with people close to you lol.

So ive heard....im kinda glad i didnt pre-order (yet) and faced all that trash. However, i was getting kicked out of rooms randomly due to the servers acting up. But overall, 90% of my matches had little to no lag and it felt AMAZING! Beta is only a test, so the final version should be sooo much better online, im salivating at the thought on getting my hands on the final version!

From what I read on Twitter a lot of Xbox users got the short end of the stick. However I was on PS4 and had Early Access so besides being kicked from the lobbies early on I had little issues. Granted during those three days I had to work 2-11 everyday, so my play time was early/late I didn’t have issue. I loved it. Probably the best Beta experience ever for me.
So many things are like that tho. Other than server downtime, the rest is preference. For me the netcode was spot on.
That's because the beta actually worked for other people. Whats worse are the shills who are defending the beta despite it being no better than the closed beta, espically with the game being a week away. And this is all coming from a ps4 player

The servers were clearly fucked up and matchmaking in general was horrible.
Even if you were in the same lobby, you wouldn't make it to matchmake with everyone here. We found out that this matchmaking was region-free. Those scrubs don't know the closed beta. The closed beta was WAY better than the open. It had perfect matchmaking and had no connection issues, unlike the open beta. And this explanation comes from a PS4 player who played the closed beta with his buddies.
Yeah...just found that out....damnit. At least i could of waved ya to death lol
I play ps4 so I didn't really have any problems, I'm just talking for the Xbox side because having the same issues in a 4 month time span just seems kind of ridiculous. If I was an Xbox player I'd definitely be worried, at least for launch week
