I haven't owned a play arts figure since I sold my last one last year. I had the batman no. 1 Kai. It was depressing to sell but it's all good lol I kind of what the aranea play arts figure from final fantasy xv
Yeah, their classic MK figures/statues are the only models IMO that really do MK justice. I would rather have that ONE statue than a ton of the other crappy ones from Hasbro, etc.Dude. No joke. All of their products are outstanding. Have been dying to get my hands on this one -

It's nuts how collectible Legos are. I never got into them. My addiction was between the early Marvel Legends figures and Spawn. Spawn figures (actual Spawn and others series' like Twisted Xmas, 6 Faces of Madness, etc) are the most detailed figures on the market. They're really like mini statues.
I only have a few Star Wards Unleashed figures. I'm willing to part with all of them though.
I lived in San Diego for a decade and would take off from work to go to every day of Comic-Con. I would make thousands reselling the stuff I didn't personally want. I don't have that much anymore but I still keep up with the market.
Prices to buy these figures at retail are ungodly. The Marvel Legends used to be about $9. Some McFarlane figures were up to $15 but most were around $10 or $12... then again, the detail you got with McFarlane was well worth it.
That's awesome. Is the market still there considering the prices? I haven't paid much attention to it over the years. I haven't seen any new Spawn figures at Walmart for years. I have 3 Gunslinger Spawns. I had one, opened and displayed it. Then I saw two more at a Walmart by me (this was over ten years ago) and I had to buy them. So I have two extra MOC Gunslinger Spawns. They also go for a decent bit.
Those spawn figures are dope as hell! Im not really into the spawn stuff. I'm more into statues now more then anything. I used to just buy stuff just to have it. No I only buy it if I really want it, otherwise my girlfriend will murder me lmao

The struggle is STILL keeping them in package... of course you want to display them but then over the years pieces go missing because you're not so interested anymore. Then years down the road your interest is rekindled and you're missing pieces. I'd think to myself... "why didn't I keep it in pack?".

Damn, speaking of GIJoes... I had them like 20+ years ago of course. You know what the hell happened to mine? My sister. She would pull them apart... the arms, legs, torsos, etc. I mean, I don't care.. we were kids and it was whatever... but it all comes back to "if only you would know" how rare these things would be years later.
It's further proof that you just need to take care of your collections.
The thrill of the hunt is definitely worth the find. I remember I found a kotobukiya dark phoenix bishoujo for 140$ and I was like... what!!!!! I sold that for 300$ in like 2 days lol

Let me tell you bro, comics and anything related to them are serious moneymakers. I can't tell you how much I've made buying and selling. For the record, I've never followed the comics, only the cartoon and the movies. I mainly got into these figures because I was into them since they started back in ...'03? Plus, the guys I hung out with at that time collected this stuff so naturally it grew on me.
