This post seems to confirm the game will be set during the same time period as the original Soul Calibur, which would be in line with the "history hides away more than one truth" line from the trailer. That means we'll hopefully be getting all the originals back and, if I get my wish, Hwang will finally be a playable character again.

Out of all fighting games I played before I got competitive, SC2 was the one I probably loved the most. I absolutely adored that game, but at the time I didn't really understand how fighting games worked. I just liked finding combos and the single player content in sc2 was crazy fun.

Now's the time to learn how to really play Soul Calibur. I just hope Raphael is in!

This is one of the very few games where i actually love the whole cast! BUT u know Uncle JBeezY loves some VOLDO and TAKI! OOOOOO BABY all those other fighting games will be non-existent when SC6 is in my hands!

Last time I played SC i was a button mashing scrub. Now that i'm a slightly better button mashing scrub I'm kind of looking to get into it.

Looking forward to learning double sword wielding, undead, pirate dad Cervantes. (If those titles are wrong then my bad)
Or if they a have a cool heavily armored Paladin Character that isn't Siegfried.

This is awesome news. Glad they're bringing it back. I'm curious on how it will address the young mitsurugi. Reboot, story flashback, time travel ala mk9 raiden, or hocus pocus from the swords??? Love the soul calibur series. Fighting mechanics aside they were still simply fun.

Supposedly it's going back to the events of SOULCALIBUR with the preface “History hides away more than one truth…”

With that said, let's talk about that ominous person holding the double edge weapon. I was trying to figure it out if it was any of the existing SC characters, but i think this might be a new one. Thoughts ?Question mark?

This will probably be a new char. I don't think there is an SC vet that truly fit that weapon other then Kilik or Hilda and even them will most likely keep their classic weapons.
