Stream.Me's "War of the Gods" needs YOUR support!

Hey guys.. the only real online weekly that is open to all players and IMO, is a massive part of the community allowing new as well as casuals get a taste for the competitive scene needs support from us, the fans.

Saw this on the GameSpun youtube video for ep 1 of WotG Season2..

If we as a community want support from TOs and expect our games to have life beyond a year, then it is really up to us to support it. If a show like this, open to all, great casting, is a weekly top tier production and cash prizes can not make it... then really what hope is there for us as a scene?

Get your butts down to : https://www.stream.me/war ... even if you can not watch the entire thing (pools IS 5 hours!), idle in the chan at least, and if you are participating it is the least you can do for all the work they are doing... Lets show WB and NRS that we as a community want the scene to grow and show Stream.me Aqua/Echo and their behind the scenes team how much we appreciate the work they are doing, doing FOR US.

Yeah it is always on at work for me.. from now on I'll be idling in chan, windows minimized and quality set to as low as possible.. I'm at work and can not watch, but I can listen like a podcast as I do my stuff and even if not, just get my user in the chat to show support, even if I am not even listening.

Neptune's Beard!!!
I'm always playing in these so I tend not to have the stream on to prevent any chance of it lagging my gameplay but maybe I'll just have it play on the lowest quality.

I watch the archives every time but didn't know it was so important to watch live.

Didn't make it on stream this time around. But I did make the 1st and last episode of Season 1. lol

These guys definitely deserve our full support and we as a community need to do everything we can to provide the small things they require from us in exchange for the hype and entertainment they bring us. One of the biggest factors holding them back is their lack of ability to reach out to people who aren't familiar with the community or stream.me so I'm sure it would be a big help if some of you with a large follower bases on twitter to retweet them out when they go live to help bring in some new faces. I'd love to see TYM itself help out as well by adding them to the "Live Streams" list when they are live, I think that would actually help quite a bit if it's something that's possible to do @CrimsonShadow (sorry don't know if you were the right person to tag but just the first that came to mind).

I wish they would be able to stream the top 8 during the weekend because I'm always busy on the times they stream it. If i did make top 8 I wouldn't have been able to play. I love war of the gods tho and I always try to support it and it's nice since I can't really travel to tourneys

I would love to, but NA timeframe destroys me so hard.
This so much, if the qualifiers were at least on saturday(as it was for a brief time) it would help me tremendously, but on sunday it's way too late for me.

I always tune in on pools and top 8, i just almost never stick around till the end since i have to sleep.

I honestly thought it was better when it was Sat/Tues. Sunday 5 hours slot is way too long having to go to work the next morning.

It's all so very confusing.
Yeah, I'll try to make more of an effort. I can't always watch but I can almost always at least idle in chat on my PC or something and possibly at work as well depending.

This is the kind of thing we need to support. I haven't looked closely, do they do any kind of merchandise? T-shirts and such? I know they have sponsors, and I could probably pick up some mints.. but I can't spring for the gaming chairs and such lol.

Additionally, if any of the WoTGs guys are reading this, if you all ever need any help (volunteer of course) behind the scenes or anything like that, anything I can do via my home that is, please let me know. I'd be more than happy to volunteer my time to help out.. I don't know much about how these events run behind the scenes so I gave no idea if you have any need for a random guy behind a pc/PS4 who knows how far from your studio.. but if you do, Im down to assist.

I want to step up and try and contribute to the community at large in more meaningful ways than buying tournament shaders and trying to watch stuff when possible.

This website ought to do a much better job promoting War of the Gods. The level of gameplay every week is very high. The event is worth being treated as an offline tournament. Post the starting times, the stream, and the results in order to catch people's interest. I genuinely had no idea War of the Gods existed until players in my local scene informed me.

A lot of people are just like "ugh stream me", when stream me isn't even that bad. Whenever a stream goes down on twitch, people are just like "rip rip rip" or don't say anything. When it goes down on stream me "bro twitch so much better omg", when rip streams happen just as much, just on twitch people don't give props to another site when it happens.

Would suck if the stream me being bad meme kills the best thing going atm. Stream me tournaments have been too good to be true for a while now, tho.

Unfortunately I don't see this gaining a lot of traction while it's on stream.me instead of twitch, and I watched the majority of it yesterday. Nothing against stream like.me people just don't visit it unless they have a reason to, which most don't. Also the lack of promotion really hurts. One of the most entertaining tournaments I've watched yesterday, go to find who made losers top 8 today, and I can't find it anywhere. I saw as far as winners top 8 but missed the matches for losers top 8. Hope yungmonster made it.

Ion agree with a lot you say tweedy but I can get behind this post 100% this tournament is indeed something we as a whole need to put our efforts into!

Where do you work where they would ever let you even dare to watch a stream on the job lol.

Been consistently one of the best sources of injustice 2 hype. Missed this week's stream live, but I watch pretty much every live stream going back to kombat kup.

Production and commentary is phenomenal and chat is actually really good generally and relatively speaking. Stream.me and specifically the kombatkup/war channel in particular has had some bad luck in the early goings technologically, but they've pretty much all been resolved and the broadcast rivals twitch easily.

Good thread, and I saw the same aqua comment on the pools vid. All involved deserve wotg and I want it to stick around.
