Today, the fine folks at NRS released a video showing off their new plans of a Pro League starting at Combo Breaker and ending on September 17th with the Pro League Finale.

The Pro Series will feature tournaments from multiple countries including online and offline events.

Its yet to be announced what the pot bonus for these are, but LI Joe of ECT announced a $20K bonus from NRS but we don't know if that's the standard for all of the offline events. There's no announcement yet on the online pot bonus.

From reading the website:

Pro Series has its own online and offline events. Top 8 in the leaderboards qualify for Season Finals.

Hometown Heroes is partnered with ESL and will be an online series of tournaments that will whittle it down to the top 4 of each region. The Region Finals will have a prize, but does not have any effect on Pro Series rankings.


The last 8 spots for the Season Finals of the Pro Series will be filled by the top placers of Path to Pro in Europe and Liga Latinoamericana held in Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Peru. I'm not sure how it will be split, but a safe assumption would be 4 from Europe, 4 from Latin America.

The finals are in Brazil but its not a participating region so they can't participate unless they buy their game in a specific store in Argentina, Chile, Peru or Mexico??? WTF
