What's up Test your might community. As you know catwoman has been revealed!!!! Which means I am back to reek havoc on Tym like I did before spitting facts like it's Vomit with my character!!!

Seriously though. I know a lot of people will be playing on the PS4 more so then on the Xbox one. Why is that? Honestly the PS4 sales is destroying the Xbox one in sales which I think it effects tournament standards on what console to play on.

I played injustice on the PS4 and I have to say.

I hate it. The dpad is not good for my character. I cannot slide my thumbs which make it difficult for me to even do my combos and it's annoying. D1 catclaw and bf catclaw into the f2 mb catdash is like the Hardest move for me to do and that is my bnb combos.

Do anyone know what converter to buy for the ps4 that is lag free so I can use my Xbox one controller?

Converters that are not banned by tournaments.

Same as everyone else, its literally the best converter for this situation. I got mine for like 30 and I never looked back.

i never really understood why ps4 became the standard for MKx. Think of all the failed events and ruined finals from that pad syncing issue that could have been avoided.
Yes, it Could have been avoided if people used their fucking brains and desynched their controllers instead of jerking off.
It obviously is a tournament standard because: PS4 outsold Xbox by a mile and because of SFV

Really? I mean... I prefer the ps3 controller over the ps4 one (in fact I might try to use a converter for that), but I don't know how some actually prefer the xbox one. Curious to see the arguments on what it offers over the ps3/ps4 ones.

I've always been unable to play right on x-box (dropping to absolute noob on that controller) because of the position of their d-pad not being pararell to the buttons (and kind of having to stretch your thumb for certain stuff) and also because the d-pad (at least the xb360 version) makes it easy to accidentally press the wrong direction so directional commands won't come out sometimes.

The other day I was holding a xbox one controller and the one thing I like is that it looks much easier to make fast button commands like Kung Lao's and Erron's because the shape of the buttons and how close they're allowing you to press 2 buttons alternatively without needing to slide your thumb, only changing the pressure point.

But the d-pad is still in the weird position. When I was holding it, it looked like the directions were more precise (I haven't tried on real game) than the xb360, but I still don't like the pad placement. Not to mention the controller is huge.

The Xbox controller destroys the PS4 controller. It will be a bit odd if you are coming to it from PS. The thing to take note of is how your hands and fingers naturally fall when you place them in your lap. And it will give you a better understanding of why the Xbox controller is better.

Firstly the placement of the grips is spread out wider so you aren't shoving your wrists together. The extra size is nicer for a more relaxed grip over all. And the D-Pad being a little lower down makes it easier to move from direction to direction. Your thumb moves left and right better than back and forward. Having it slightly angled off means the movement from forward or back to up or down is more of a left and right motion with the thumb.

The actual buttons on the DS4 are single buttons. So when you slide from down to forward for example there is a bigger height difference between the pressed and depressed buttons. Where on the XB controller the down button being pressed pulls the forward button down with it making it easier to slide to.

All the face buttons on the DS4 are flat with ugly edges. Where the face buttons on the XB controller are curved to align with the shape of the grip. This is really nice because sliding from one button press to the next means there is less of an edge for your fingers to get caught on.

And finally the triggers and shoulder buttons. The R1 button on the DS4 requires you to lift your finger off of R2 and place it on R1 to get a decent pull on it. And the R2 buttons are all flat edged. The Bumper buttons on the XB controller are edge triggered, so you can activate them by rolling your knuckle up and just hitting the edge. And the Triggers are sort of diamond edged. So you can pull them like a normal trigger or R2 button. Or you can even push your finger forward as if you are trying to touch the tip of it to the tip of the finger on the other hand.

It's mostly the placement of the buttons and the nicer edges and activation spots that make the XB controller superior. The added weight some like some don't. I like it because it makes it feel more planted in my hand. Then of course the XB controller is more sturdy. If i twist the grips in opposite directions it feels more rugged.
If I do the same with my DS4 it builds drastically and makes squeaking noises.

Of course my fight stick trumps them both. But I suppose by that argument a Hitbox trumps a fight stick.

Brook is the best. That's what i have. Buy it, install the update to get rid of input delay. You're good to go
I just bought one a couple a weeks ago and love it. I never installed any update on it, though. Would you mind explaining how I'd go about doing that? I assume it shipped to me without this update.

I'm using an XB1 MadCatz TE2 on PS4, if that matters.

SFV mainly is why. To's can buy a bunch of one system (PS4) for multiple games.
Not just SFV, but basically every other fighting game is Sony+PC exclusive aside from a couple (MKX and KI).

In all honesty though, both stock pads suck for fighters. PS4's pad has a horribly inaccurate d-pad, and XB1's is clicky and awkward and in the most unnatural spot for use.

I agree with this 100%. I think both Xbone and PS4 pads are horrible. Well specifically with Fighting games. To me the Xbone was just aim more towards Shooters. DS4 pad is terrible for back or forward inputs. DS3 was way better.

I have 2 Hori FC fightpad and recently got the Hori Rap4 FightStick. Those are miles better than any stock current gen gamepad today.

I honestly prefer the PS4 pad over the XB1 pad outside of fighters, but that's more preference than anything. I was never a fan of the offset analogs (outside of the GameCube pad), and grew up with Dual Shocks.

But yeah, I have the HORI FC as well, and I haven't looked back.

Brooks converters are legal but can cause hold ups at tournaments. (When you delete the controller in the blutooth menu, when desyncing controllers, it can cause the ps4 to hang).

Why do you have to delete it from the Bluetooth? It wires up, the Xbox controller can't turn on the PS4 without being plugged into the converter? Also I'm not going to a tournament and using the shitty PS4 pad so oh well lol

Sony seriously needs to implement a fix that allows you to desync all devices at once. Would make tournaments run faster

because you cant tell which controller is which. You clear them all. It doesn't tell what was a brooks converter or a PS4 pad. It just says, Blutooth. So you have to get them all because you dont want a risk a pause in the middle of your match.

And thats cool you can do that but if your converter causes enough issues that the match can't continue, better have dat ps4 pad ready or take the L.
