What's new

The only guest character we need: Spider-man.

they are actually terrible.

A trait that auto-doges everything.. you must be trolling.
No because 1. I said he could still be hit from air attacks, whiff punishes, block punishes, and maybe grabs. 2. I specifically stated that he would have no 50/50s apart from low damage unsafe grab mix ups, and 3. I also stated that his strings and specials are mostly unsafe. So even if he auto dodges grounded offensive attacks while his trait is active, he still can't get much offense out of it because I described him as a heavily unsafe defensive footsie character, not a pressure heavy mix up character. It's basically a variant of Doomsday's trait. It sounds broke on paper just like Swamp Thing's trait and Sorcerer Quan's armor spell, but once you put them into context, broke sounding tools often end up fine.

It's stupid because Marvel isn't DC? Genius reasoning dog.
Exactly. Marvel isn't going to let DC use one of their biggest money makers.

What is stupid is that you think it's possible. Willing to make a cash bet that he will not be in? Payable on PayPal?

Why is that? What does Marvel have to lose from letting Spiderman be in a DC fighting game? Money? No, it doesn't necessarily cost them anything. Saying that it has no chance of happening when you know nothing about business or what goes on in marketing deals, when it would not cost either side anything that we know of, when you know nothing about pros and cons of such a deal for either company, and when it could potentially be highly profitable for both sides if Marvel/Disney makes a profit off it is stupid.

The only reasoning you have for such a bold claim is that something similar hasn't been done between Marvel and DC in recent times. That's it I won't bet that he'll be in, but based off the high demand and how logical it would be to have him as a guest outside of negotiation plausability, not to mention how much Marvel and DC have been growing alongside each other in recent times, I'd say it has a fair 20%-30% chance of happening based on what I know as a business novice. Plus Boon has already talked about the idea positively.

It will not happen. Boon is not Warner Bros/DC. It is beyond silly to even discuss this.

Marvel/Disney does not need Marvels help to make stupid amount of money. Their products basically print money. They will not help their competitor. Come on, man.

By Disneys standards, Injustice is an infant as far as profits go....actually, Injustice is not even an infant to them, it is the egg.

DC is not Marvel's competitor as has been discussed. The success of one company does not hinder the success of the other. Just stop making bold claims about business deals when you don't know anything about business. Make sense to you? Makes sense to me. Again, if there's no apparent downside to either company in a deal like this, plus it has a high demand, then to say it's highly unlikely based on nothing but conjecture is about as dumb as the 19th century peasants who said flying was impossible when they knew nothing about aerodynamics.

It's within the realm of possibility until someone who knows something about the dynamics of said deal proves otherwise.

Nice response.
I don't think it'll happen though. I would assume getting Spider-Man would be costly and there wouldn't be that high of a net profit on either side. Just my thought.

So the guy saying Spider Man could be in a DC fighting games(when Marvel has their own fighting game releasing soon and their own universe) says I know nothing about business...I am beginning to think you are a troll or no older than 16.

All it takes is common sense, not a damn business degree to think you are a fool for believing this could happen.

We will revisit this thread when all of Injustice 2s DLC has been released. I guarantee this will never happen. You obviously will find a ridiculous way to keep babbling on and on about your little wet dream, so by all means continue. Seems you have some wishful thinkers here to feed your complete ignorance.

Until a later date, I bid this awful thread a fair well.

I would wager that Injustice's popularity is the main reason Disney green lit Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. If not the main reason, the last one needed.
Agreed. If Marvel Disney is going to have Spider Man in something, they will want to reap all of the profits, not help their competition.

But hey man, maybe McDonalds will allow Burger King to sell the Big Mac. The name, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a seasame seed bun and all! Maybe even keep the Golden Arches on the box too. Totally possible, man. I iz business geniuz.

Actually, I'm sorry. I just posted a long rebuttal, but deleted it because it's not worth it, let's just agree to disagree and not bash each other ok? This was just supposed to be a casual, friendly thread, not a debate over the likelihood of this actually happening. The possibility of Spiderman getting put in doesn't matter, I just wanted to share my design ideas. Let's not be enemies over some petty online disagreement about Spiderman please. My last reply came off as hostile so I apologize for that.
