I2 Beta: What Are Your Thoughts?

Now that the beta will be closing some time today, what are everyone's thoughts on how the game feels right now? Is there anything you loved or hated? Is there anything you want different come the full game's release?

Let's Discuss.

lack of good players/too many mkx players lul

oh yeah and this needs to be fixed asap ruins the game

Input buffer sucks. Can't just F23 without it thinking I'm inputting Rising Grab or F2~BF3 (from blocking). For real, I'm scared to F23 massive gaps or really negative moves in-case I get something I don't want. If it's just me then fine I'll hold that but I think others have complained, too.

I like the anti airs and I love the way the games neutral is. Doesn't feel as nutty as Injustice 1's.

Overall I enjoyed the beta quite a bit, and I'm sad to see it go. I played just about every single night since getting a code (missed maybe one night I think).

The gear is addicting, but overall useless since almost everyone wants to play with Competitive Mode turned on. The only time gear ever really came into play is when both players would choose a level 20 character, but even then, my opponents would sometimes still want to turn Competitive on.

Which kind of sucks because........ The additional moves are awesome. I really like the added strategies they create. I would absolutely love to see a mode that evens the playing field (disable gear stats and level) while still enabling the additional abilities. That would be my go-to every single time.

After seeing what some people can do with these characters after such short periods of time, I'm convinced I'll never be able to compete at high level. But for just playing online battles regularly, I can see myself putting a lot of time into this game. There are already so many characters I want to learn!

Beta was great. Playing people with good connections felt wonderful. I also like the neutral in this game quite a bit more than MKX. Can we complain about how good Supergirl is instead of Superman plz :DOGE

I thankfully had the ability to play nearly ever top player in the beta. Went about half and half against them and i'm a street fighter player so I'd definitely say everyone has a fair shot at being a good player. Completely different from MKX. Neutral game is really important and enjoyable to play I felt at home.

The input buffer is a serious problem as mentioned. I also got backdash on wake up a few times too. I'd really recommend you guys tweet to Boon about this because it doesn't seem like something to get use too. Also throwing with two buttons has to be really precise so I tend to throw with the single button option so i wouldn't mess up. I felt like I got thrown out of my throw tech pretty often which it read as a "throw counter".

yea, 100% this needs to be toned down. even if release check etc is off its too high currently imo.
so many rising uppercuts(db1) instead of b1 punish a so many interactables instead of b12.
no way im using alt controls either, half circles instead of bf moves, no thanks lol
there's a way to change bf motions in df/db? what?

Man of Tomorrow
This. Almost every Superman I fought was just f23, f23, f23, f23, f23, f23... It was so boring and obnoxious. I'm not great at the game, but I at least liked getting destroyed by players who put more effort into it.

What else is Superman supposed to do in neutral?

Oh and I forgot to mention: Atrocitus bf1 wake-up can eat a bag of dicks :D

Sure you can block it, but damn. That thing should not be able to go through Supergirl's MB laser. It seemed to beat out literally everything except a d1 or d3. I can understand if it was an armored wake-up, like a b3 MB or something, but there's no armor flash or sound. It's just plain invincible and overtakes anything you throw at it.

Another thing was Black Canary's full-screen scream. It should not hit you when you're in the air, especially the closer you are to her. You can very clearly see the sound waves increasing in size as they go further out, yet when you're jumping right in front of her, very obviously not even getting touched by the waves because you're so high above them, it still catches you. That was a rather annoying visual inconsistency.

The only actual glitch I found was in Metropolis though. The stage interaction in the middle, where you pick up that stone tablet and throw it. If you're facing right, and you are slightly to the right of the tablet, your character will do the throwing animation without actually picking it up and throwing it. Very annoying.

I'm not a Superman player, so I can't provide an answer, but I can definitely say that I fought a couple of very skilled ones who used a much wider range of moves. I mean they absolutely destroyed me. And they did not resort to f23, f23, f23, f23, ad nauseam.

Every hit of his WU is a High Except if he MB's it at the end. Just duck and full combo punish. Certain WU's are invincible in this game. Just like Inj1.
