Which Inj 1 Veterans Do You Wanna See Return As DLC?

Deathstroke could be very interesting! If he was reworked he could use his staff (PLEASE NRS), his sword AND his guns along with gadgets. That way people would feel better about paying for him, I feel like he never got the design he deserved anyway, the man is supposed to be able to take on the Batman in a fistfight.

Also, he's about to be the main villain in both the next animated movie (Judas Contract), the next Batman movie and he's super famous to casuals from both Arrow and Arkham Origins (and now Knight). How can they NOT include one of the most badass fighters of the DC Universe? Plus, he would be perfect for the gear system honestly. I feel like he's one of the non-returning veterans with the most potential to actually sell well.

I know that Lex dies in the story, but I can't believe he was cut. Speaking of which, Is brainiac the only superman villain we gonna get?
He's more of a JL villain but there's Darkseid. I guess we're going to get more as DLC because yeah, Flash having more villains than Superman is... particular.

General Zod hands down. Not only did he have some of the swaggiest combos in the game, but he was also the most execution-heavy character in the game and he was super fun to use. Good personality and quotes too.

Would love to see Martian, Deathstroke and Sinestro to come back too

I m pretty sure Ed Boon said in an interview some time ago that the characters who were dlc in first game aren't going to be dlc again. Don't ask me for a video, I m not gonna go through all of his interviews.

As for those who were on base roster there is pretty good chance.

this .... NRS have been doing this so far .... they did with MKX and certanily will do for Injustice 2, so , no IGAU1 chars as DLC in injustice 2, most probably

How is he the most execution heavy? Besides his IA fireball I don't think his combos are that hard.

Well far starters, 90% of the cast is super easy to use. So by default, IA fireball alone automatically makes Zod one of the most execution heavy characters in the game. His only competition really is Flash with certain trait combos, Martain with some instant air teleport combos, Batman with some trait combos, and Zatanna with some float cancel combos.

But Zod actually has hard combos, like the ones listed above I posted if you just scroll up a few comments. Idk if you've ever used Zod before, but if you haven't fire up Injustice 1 and take Zod in training mode, summon trait, and try to do F213, trait slap, 123 trait grab. You will notice that you cannot just simply cancel normals into trait grab, so it is impossible to 123 trait grab without meeting certain requirements first. In order to make the trait grab connect after 123, you have to do a trait slap in the middle of the string. So basically you have to do 1243 into trait grab. But you have to press it really fast, if you do it too slow Zod will just stagger 12 and won't finish the full string. Alot of his trait combos work like this, which makes them unique and also makes them much harder than the rest of the cast's combos.

Also there are some combos that you can fit 3 Zod balls in one combo, but the combo is so long that the gravity is high and the character is falling fast, so the only way possible to do it by doing J2 canceled into Zod ball instantly almost as fast as possible, for all 3 Zod balls. For example 123, trait slap, 123, trait grab, charge close laser all the way, J2 slow Zod ball, J2 medium Zod ball, J2 fast Zod ball, B3. The first 123 pops your opponent up, then you still hit your opponent 5 additional times while they are airbourne before you even start hitting them with the Zod balls, so the low laser doesn't pop them up that high. That means all three of the J2 canceled to Zod ball all have to instant all 3 times, the first to get it started is especially the hardest.

I could go on and on with more examples, like how some combos you J2 Zod ball twice, and your opponent is too far away so you have to forward dash and instant J2 Zod ball to connect the third one. Or how you can do J2 Zod ball two times, then do J1 Zod ball to switch sides mid-combo which is really hard. But yeah simply just reading this comment you might not understand, but if you actually took Zod in training mode right now and tried to do all the things I talked about in this single post, you would undestand why Zod is the most execution-heavy character in the game

Darkseid seems like the spiritual successor to Zods badassery and swag. Plus no repeat dlc.

Ill take Ed's hint at Ares, he would be great with a legacy redesign and be perfect for gear system. Other than that I need me some Doomsday and Lex

Hmmmm. In my opinion it's above average. Zod in my opinion don't really get hype unless he is throwing zod balls out consistently
 
I wish NRS would really pay fan service and bring back the vets in a special package.deal. I would gladly pay 20-25 dollars to to have the remaining original cast restored for this new game. I think it would have made them more money in the end because they would still have the upcoming single dlc slots used for new and guest chars.

Let's be honest, it's clear now that the returning chars have all their animations recycled with a small percentage being new. So really the development costs are tied to creating the gear and updating voice lines and tweaking movesets so it would be quite doable to get the remaining cast back at a reasonable cost and profit if they really wanted to do it.

I am sure balancing would be a bear with so many characters but wow would that be spectacular.to have such a huge roster in the game. For comic book fans like myself it would be a dream come true to see all these characters available in this gorgeous new engine.

The only thing left for NRS to do in my book would be to strike a deal with Marvel for a Marvel vs. DC game and that would be heaven.
