ok I just got my hands on the beta and this game feels REALLY clunky compared to Inj 1. I probably just need some polishing, but special move cancels and dash into button feels way different lol.

Obviously this will go away after a bit of practice im sure but yeah

The issue I have so far is that his Injustice 1 Parry is now a non competitive move selection.

The new parry throws the opponent away out of reach, were as the Injustice 1 parry dropped them right in front of you with advantage.

I really hope this is changed around and his I2 is made a gear move that allows a MB option.

Haven't really tested the two different versions of the parry, but I personally hated the Injustice 1 parry. Basically no hit advantage for a move that has a huge risk and a small reward.

I need to catch up and read this whole thread. Just wanted to share that in the corner, you can do 113 (overhead), d2, 223-df1 and the df1 will not miss.

Also, Batman can parry a gap in Atrocitus's punch-walk string (I don't know the actual name of that string).

I mean in this Beta he can be debatable anywhere between 2-4 on the tier list I think. But I would have to see the whole cast before I can give serious thoughts on Batman
I'm thinking he still can't keep up with better zoners, so his gameplan will revolve around keeping your opponent close and maintaining pressure via trait cancels and MB batatangs. Throws seem to be harder to react to in this game vs Inj 1, so throwing and shimmies also look pretty important.

I wish I had just a few fewer recovery frames after dashes. It doesn't take much. Just a hint to make getting in on Kryptonian eye laser zoners 2% easier. Throwing batarangs and releasing bats across the screen just isn't cutting it.

Since she doesn't have an overhead (and since the walk speed is decent now), the best strategy right now is to honestly just walk forward or turtle/crouch block to anticipate the laser. Then when you get close enough, you can make a read on a jump or trait dash if you desire.

Play safe until you get bats, then go ham.

Especially with Batman it seems like a little patience goes a long way.

Also, save your trait and release it while crouching. If Supergirl blocks, you will be allowed 1 free dash.

However, don't attempt to dash and jump, even if you release all 3 bats. Batman's trait still has 0 blockstun, so Supergirl can easily anti-air with her great D2,

I completely forgot but how does 5:57 work again? doing a meter kick during a combo?
It's a bounce cancel off a string that costs 2 bars of meter.

In the video you selected, King did 1,1,2 + forward, forward MB (same can be done with back, back MB).

I'm not sure if the inputs are still the same in I2 but in IGAU it would be done this way.
