Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite

Has anybody bought mvc3 to ps4? If so, does it have improved netcode?
Yes and no (from what I've been seeing streamers say.)

What I was hearing is they officially didn't change it, BUT people seem to keep saying it feels better. Maybe the internet is just better off than it was the first time around or whatever. There are probably a number of people streaming it today. Asking around on Twitch might be a really good place to get a better sense of how well it's playing right now.

Off line the game feels like it should. Not that I really ever understood what was going on. I'm pretty lost in all of its crazy. I'm not sure I should have dropped $25 on something I already had a copy of just so I don't have to unpack my 360, but I did.

Looks more like Tekken tag than marvel. No assists. Hard tags mid combo. Then again, no capcom game ever comes out like its trailer. Lets see what it looks like in march.

If this is the case, the creativity in this game is over the top! I like ot

I genuinely do not get this kind of comments, Injustice and MvC series are entirely different in terms of gameplay, their only similarity is that both feature super heroes. I don't know if it's supposed to be bait comments or people simply not thinking straight.

One is not going to be a direct replacement for the other in terms of tournaments, and In terms of sales, well, NRS does not have to worry about that.
I'm not trying to bait comments at all, just voicing my thoughts. I know NRS and sales of injustice 2 will be fine, but I'm worried about our competitive scene. The amount of former and current Marvel players who came out to injustice tournaments was huge, and I think them having a fresh game to dig their teeth into will keep them away from injustice tournaments. I know MK fans aren't neccesarily playing inj2 either, so it's in a weird position. Couple all of that with the news drought and I get worried. I know it will have players, but with NRS and it's scenes' histories there is a wide array of futures that could await us.

Looks more like MSH and X-Men vs Capcom tbh. Nothing that Capcom hasn't done for ages now. However, younger people will def call SFxT on this.

Well I would hope you are wrong on that and the love of superheros will net good interest in both games. One thing I think IJ2 has over MVCI for that crowd is that it is has IP focus on superheros.

With the reveal hype having had its moment and knowing full well I am an outlier, I will say that I am disappointed that MVCI is going to exist in a way. I think MVC is a wacky fun game. I get it. It's entertaining, over the top fun. It's a very successful franchise and you are supposed to make more of things that are successful. That said, I don't understand why Ryu needs to be there.

I understand why Capcom should be making the game. I understand why you would want to have crossover between fighting games so that Terry Bogard can sock Sagat in the gut, or have a Juri and Julia tag team, but I just don't see what Capcom fighters have to do with the Marvel universe beyond maybe a one game novelty. But this makes it like 5 games or so of these and like forever since we have had a serious fighter maker making a serious Marvel focused fighter. (say that a bunch of times)

I remember playing lots of X-Men: Children of the Atom that predated all of this crossover stuff, and when I play MVC3 I can help but feel like the whole left side of the screen swallowed Colossus, Psylocke, Rogue, Dare Devil, and a whole mess of other options I would have liked exploring. That may not be the reality of it, but it's very tempting to think that and there just isn't the same kind of mental attraction I have once you splice those two things together.

When it comes to the X-Men, it sounds like we are all pretty much screwed on that deal given the IP feuding going on around them so maybe we need the extra characters this time around. Anyway, I'm much more attracted to IJ2. If this was Marvel only it would be a much tougher call for me.

What you said is reasonable, i just called out about you saying that MvC would "demolish" Injustice, which i do not believe will be the case simply because they are way too different, not to say that NRS has their own scene altogether with ESL, which is very likely to return with Injustice 2. Sure some players might be torn between focusing on one or the other, but Injustice and NRS already have their loyal players, much like Capcom has theirs, i don't think there is need to create any conflit between them.

WAR SEASON "THE WEAK EXPOSED!"
Mvci will have longevity and bigger tournament showings over a longer span of time.

Injustice 2 will have a bigger initial burst of players but will die off after the first year or so, when nrs announces it's next title.

Tis the way of things.

Anyway, I'm super super hype for both.

I was around for all those games and I definitely see a heavy SFxT influence. The tag in and continue combo option is much more like SFxT than X-Men vs Capcom. The gem system is less random than MSH and more like the SFxT system where you select the gem pre-fight and then activate it at some point. At least that's how the trailer made it look.

Morrigan loks good, Steve looks kinda funky though.

A lot more reused animations then I would have thought.

you guys are really underestimating the hype injustice 2 has surrounding it. Just type in injustice 2 on youtube and look at the views each video has (the first 3 already have over 10 mil) , As soon as NRS decide to release the next character trailer this mvc talk will start to shift over a bit. hopefully they do what they did with injustice 1 and have that battle arena each week leading up to the release day revealing new characters.

but on topic Ms. Marvel looks awesome!!

what specifically are people suggesting with this stuff? One had a better reveal trailer? That the best case scenario vs the worst case scenario is proof the final product will be better for mvci?
I'm not sure I see the value unless it's to cherry pick screenshots to suggest the game they have more interest in is some how better despite neither being remotely finished.

I'm loving the art style. Mega Man X alone is enough reason for me to buy this game. Can't wait!

I'll be sad if there's a total lack of X-Men characters (which everyone is predicting), but I'l still play the hell out of it if it's any good.

They're comparing their faces. Does Captain Marvel look better than Injustice 2's Wonder Woman?
Eh I'm not a big fan of either.

Wonder Woman looks too "video game realistic" kinda like some mother I would see at a supermarket, and not a comic book amazonian.

Carol looks too young and anime.
She is the one female I would actually say would look better with a more gruff appearance.

Morrigan is the clear winner out of all of them.
Superchucky being the loser.

One is "waifu-material" the other is "waifu of Chucky".

It's your post of someone's twitter, so it can be whatever you want it to be, but when it comes to why people are posting side by sides in general, that's not really an answer. It's a random observation/reaction to a comparison. A comparison that doesn't really seem to have a particularly honest point to make.

If it's about Captain Marvel being Waifu, then what does that have to do with Supergirl? You could just say MVCI looks boss, and CM looks waifu, so really nothing at all to do with Supergirl. It seems laden with the subtext comparing MVCI to IJ2, Capcom to NRS. It's one against the other, like we can only have or enjoy one, or that there is a smart choice to make. That emoticon isn't confused about which girl he likes more. He is thinking "NRS please" and suggesting to everyone that the choice is clear because NRS jacked up an early version of SG's face and that is all that matters; that's all anyone needs to know about the two.

That's the part I take issue with. The part where it doesn't mention that they already showed they are updating the face models, and how it doesn't factor in the day the Internet freaked out when they showed Harley Quinn and everyone thought she looked as amazing as Kara does bad (That would be a more honest comparison I think). Or maybe it's just fun to keep showing off Supergirl pics, because she does actually look pretty rough.

I realize I'm reading into things a lot, and that people are just going to make comparisons between the two superhero games because you just gotta do it. I'm just explaining that there was a specific reason for what I was asking, and not just that I didn't get that a comparison was being made. I was asking why a comparison was being made - intent and internal motivation stuff. It was probably all very much an excessive response to a twitter pic, but then I really don't have much of anything better to do than post text walls when I should be going to bed.

For now I'm just going to plan on buying both games, and oh yes, I'm using both of these girls.
