Question - Alien Why is Konjurer considered Alien's worst variation?

Just wondering why, I thought he had the tools to be with Acidic/Tarkatan. Anyway, since he's worse than the two, would you recommend trying Acidic or Tarkatan first? Which is more fun or is better to use and why?

Because there hasn't been enough high level Konjurer play besides Scar that will convince people otherwise. Sonicfox and Dragon have used Acidic and Tarkatan respectively to a very high degree, showing how powerful they are. Scar's showcase of Konjurer, while quite impressive, doesn't do enough to convince me (and likely others) that it's not a better idea to just go Tarkatan or Acidic.

As to the Tarkatan v Acidic question, there are about 0 above average Alien players in Xbox ranked so I just picked Acidic because that's the variation I hear people about the most.

No above average? I just got mauled by a level 86 and ~6660 wins using Tarkatan. I am interested in him after that lol.

I'm on PS4 by the way.

It's the idea that Konjuerer just isn't as strong as Tark or Acidic. It's the idea that Kon isn't bad it's just not as good as the other two therefore there's no reason to pick it over Acidic or Tark except preference.

Konjurer is definitely better than Tark. Theres no option select to make all Konjurers shit completely unuseable

ok i will do this. Cause for some reason people seem to think its bad and its honestly borderline broke lol. so many traps and un escapable shit its crazy

I'd appreciate it just so I can see the difference between Alien tech and Konjurer tech, when to jump back and forth between them etc. It feels like there's a small barrier to entry of this character that stops people from just jumping into it

yeah konjurer u have to work a little bit harder, but it def pays off. the mind games are a bit stronger as well

I have experience with a konjurer and dear god, is it annoying. I played it a little bit day 1 at release. Looking at the potential of the set-ups i was thinking konjurer must be the best.

imo it is, but i can't argue with the damage acidic gets. Personally i like konjurer more but understand why people go acidic. its much easier to use for less work

I was looking at a poll thread. 4% of people voted for konjurer. Most people here are voting for konjurer. I don't get it what'she the answer?

Even if you option select Tarkatan's stuff, it's still a 50/50, just an unsafe 50/50. Imo if the rekkas could be made safe in any match up, they would be incredibly unbalanced.

On Konjurer. I haven't even loaded up practice mode more than twice with the variation. When Alien was showcased and released I just wanted to play Tarkatan, because i'm a rushdown fool and I think the variation is cool. It seems like it'd be very good in the corner, since your set ups are kind of limited midscreen, but I don't have any real input.

F4 rekkas, B3 rekkas, 12 rekkas, F134 rekkas.

Doing any string that doesn't already create a 50/50 into rekkas is obviously not a good idea.

The reason rekkas are still good, in comparison to having to do EX flip and hope it hits, is because you're only spending meter if you land. If you do like F4 or B3 EX flip with Acidic, or 12 EX flip, it's really difficult to hit confirm. With the rekkas you keep your meter, build a little, do like 5-6% damage from the chip and hit they're armoring through.

Also, Tarkatan gets maybe the best jump 1 in the game, and a great punisher with his standing 2.

Btw, if you have the meter for an EX krawl, you can end combos in 214 xx rekka, finish with rekka 2, and be +15. F134 xx rekka does 6% if you finish the string, so you can guarantee that to win rounds/games, you can mix people up with F134 or F13 xx flip, you can mix people up with B11 xx flip, B113 xx flip, or B113. You can do 214, or 214 xx flip. All of these mix ups are guaranteed after rekka 2 on hit.

Of course if they respect the jailing strings, you can throw, you can act like you're gonna throw and F4/B3 if they have no meter. The mind games are real, my friends.

Another quick Alien tip. If people are fuzzy guarding F13 xx flip and F134, just do F13 snag once or twice. It's 13 frames, so it destroys fuzzy attempts. It's 7% and -17 but that's pretty much the nature of Alien's oki. Super unsafe but he has a lot of little mind games, that can destroy people with one knockdown.
