Question - Acidic How can people defend Acidic's OPnes?

Acidic is not as bad as that pressure wise, but because the damage happens through a DoT even on block makes Flame Fist Kang or Caltops Black damage on block look trivial.

I can not see who anyone can defend the idea that getting hit by a block string and loosing nearly 40% life can not be considered a little much. Blocking shouldn't work that way and dosn't work that way for anyone else in the cast.

You can jump straight out of the corner after acid blood restand. Alien gets 0 guaranteed. If they try and read your jump, you can armor them

And to all those saying 'learn how to deal with alien', what is there to learn about being hit by random 5050 flips and stacked acid damage.

Alien takes its turn, ends it with acid, and then still hurts you on your turn through acid damage.

There's nothing to learn other than to pick a character that can actually punish aliens shit.
Alien by design is easily one of the most brain dead characters in this game, it's a shame really, we had a good last patch, and all of it was shat on by putting alien in the game.

Nrs should be ashamed of themselves. These donks have consistently released dumb dlc since injustice. Either they do it on purpose for sales or they have no idea what they're doing. Either way the competitive community loses.

wow rly ? I expected more from a top player ....
braindead ? how ? 50/50 ? Hey its mk xl here almost everyone have 50/50s and aliens does low dmg unless in corner ... and as for acid dmg,its the whole point of this var , if u nerf his acid dmg you make him useless cuz without it he have very low dmg . Want braindead ? look at a-list cage or sq dvorah .

I'm not gonna deny that SQ is pretty auto pilot, but Alien is a bigger offender IMO.

you know how it will end ? They will nerf alien to the ground , and sonic will just drop him (you think he cares about alien ? I bet he doesnt even like the character) and just pick other good character ( yes alien is GOOD but far from op ) and keep winning .

Sonic could probably random select and beat most of you so pls stfu , its player not character .

If you disagree PLEASE show me someone beside sonic fox who are winning and dominating in tourneys with acidic alien.

Sonic is doing exactly what MIT did with Thunder God, Hellfire, and Fisticuffs in the beginning of MKX -- demonstrating how dumb they are to the community and NRS so that they get the nerfs they need. And honestly Sonic Fox is clearly amazing but when you have Grand Finals with multiple flawless victories it's just really a terrible look.

And how it ended ? Fisticuffs is now the worst var of cage , and no one rly uses thunder god or hellfire anymore. Good way to kill characters .

Nah , I just dont want alien to be unfairly nerfed just cuz sonic is winning with him . King tried to use acidic at final round too and how it ended ? He lost to kung lao . If i remember correctly sonic lost with acidic there too. Gf's was alien vs alien only cuz tark was clearly op pre patch BUT acidic was good counterpick to it and sonic knew that so he picked him up . Trust me if sonic was up against kung lao or smn else in finals we would see erron black or kitana not acidic .

The only thing that needs to be nerfed about acidic is the acid damage and stacks. Imo thats a bit too much "free" damage. Crazy good character, nothing broken tho.

I agree with the stacks but I don't really see the damage as an issue. People are just offended because they see the health ticking down fast during the dot. There becomes a point where people just want to nerf anything that doesnt make sense to them right away. Thats just like, my opinion though, man.

Yeah , people need to understand that there isnt any free dmg . For example his main 1 bar bnb : f134 ex crawl b11u4 f23 sting does 38% . Pretty standard 1 bar combo dmg. BUT they only see 34% deal at a time and rest combo dmg comes in dot , But its still same 38 % . Its not like its taking slowly half of their life bar later lol

In this clip showed in first post ermac player could tech this throw so he would take a very little or no dmg .

I tend to agree. The safe 50/50 with all those armours is a problem... but I think the dirt is actually the DoT stack. I hadn't thought of the tick, but this could be part of it.

Either way it is how the DoT functions, not necessary the tick damage, that seams all screwed to me.

Well ending a combo in acid blood will always add initial damage to the combo total as well as 1% of the dot damage. So that leaves 18 remaining ticks at .5 (9%) but thats entirely dependant on them remaining in the puddle. If you think about how fast its going, remember each tick is only doing .5. Its really misleading when you watch the health bar ticking down because to me it seems like you read each tick as 1% when in reality its every two that do 1%. The speed shouldnt really matter because if they slow it down you will still get the same damage, but then people would feel like it lasts for too long. To me, I would be okay with reducing stack by either .2 or .25 per tick, which would still do great damage it just wouldnt be as overwhelming. Idk I honestly feel like rather than labbing WITH alien people should lab AGAINST him and find ways to just deal with it.
