Someone can argue with you that kitana is top 10 and provide facts and situations and you can oppose them. Either way it comes down to an opinion. On the other hand if someone says kenshi is arguably top 10 that persons argument can get overshadowed by the overwhelming evidence that kenshi is nowhere near top 10. And as far as tanya goes I look at it like this. Base kenshi is worse than Tanya. Now let's look at what they get variation wise. Tanya's tools are better than kenshis. Pyro DOES lose to kenshi. Not denying that. He eliminates the jumping and tele as an option. But as far as the rest goes she probably has more favorable matchups

There's no point in considering the three variations of a character as a whole. Each variation is a different world, like a different character.

That s exactly what I'm talking about which people don't seem to understand. YES kenjutsu and balanced are better then balanced but if u compare those 2 "rushdown" variations to any other characters and there type of rushdown, it makes kenshi look like a pathetic blind asshole.
Judging characters as a whole is kinda dumb IMO since variations are so varied. Kenshi just happens to have no top tier variation. Sort of like Goro, jacqui, Jason (yes still) etc. Kenjutsu and possessed are decent though.
At least he doesn't have 9 hour combos like Kitana.
