Hey Murk! Saw your performance at Final Round, good stuff! I live in Northern MS and I was wondering do you go anywhere for locals for weekly or anything. I'm ready to level up but I need to find where the community meets in your area. Any help?

Not right at this moment but there is a venue location getting worked out so be on the look out.

No problem. I went up there with some friends and ran sets. It was pretty nice. They got arcade machines on free play and a few setups for consoles. Also a projector setup in the back.

Is there currently like a weekly/biweekly thing going on there? Or is it something that needs an official structure?

Myself and @EMPR_MURK had a decent thing going with a local game store but there was too much going on with card tournaments and staff that, in my opinion, turned people away from coming back out regularly. It was fun, but i personally always felt in the way being there

They have a tekken/SFV event there. I think it's posted in the knoxfighters Facebook page when they do it. I wanna say it's on like Tuesdays or something. Not 100% sure.

Ok so I know this is a conversation for East TN but I'm new to TYM and NRS games in general. Wanting to play Injustice 2 competitively but having trouble finding scenes nearby. Does anyone here know if any weeklies exist in West Tennessee? The closer to Clarksville the better.

I'm in West TN also (Memphis Metro). I'd love something like a weekly meet up to play fighting games but I haven't heard of anything close to us. It's kind of annoying. I know they used to do something at the Greater Memphis Magic Arena but I don't think they do it any more. I'll call when they open and post an update.

I'm about 3:15 out from the Franklin/Nashville area. Would you guys be up to do a monthly in that area? I know it's a little closer for you guys but it's enough of a mid point to justify the drive. Besides that, I think Nashville probably has the most defined NRS scene in Tennessee.

So I spoke with the Greater Memphis Magic Arena and the person I spoke with said that the original group they had (that I was kind of part of) "fizzled out." He did mention, however, that guys do show up on Wednesdays to play Smash. He also made me aware of a large tournament on June 3 called the Rumble on the River. Here's the TYM link to that event.

I wouldn't mind traveling to Memphis for a monthly. Was really just asking to see what was around, I brought Injustice 2 to the Smash weekly that I run here in Clarksville and some people really enjoyed it. I won't be able to make it to rumble on the river but I am attending Midwest Championships in Murfreesboro.
