I'm not sure if this matters much but Kenshi's S4 has gotten a damage buff and now does 7% instead of 5%. It does now 1.40% chip damage, not sure how much it did before. Don't know if this matters much but I thought it was a neat stealth buff.

Questions from non kenshi player. How has the patch affected him? Has it made him a much better character? I'm really interested in picking up kenjustu, but want to get the opinion of kenshi players.

I feel like with the buff to his Reflect Balanced Kenshi will act as a defensive god now. Balanced BF3 on whiff is still terrible tho. Kenjutsu and Possessed are much better honestly.

Then the only thing you have to do is just read few posts on the last page before that. In short coz i've already said that - Kenshi has now only one variation - Kenjutsu, it's mediocre overall. Better then it was before that's for sure but nothing to write home about if you consider all other characters. So if you wanna learn Kenshi that's the variation to learn.

Balanced is still trash, Possessed is VERY meter hungry and gimmicky (if you want to mess with teleport, pick Imposter Shinnok, he does exactly the same things, just better).

And don't listen to people who THINK parry is gonna make balanced even remotely decent. People fail to understand how hard is to parry an actual string especially considering you can't parry low or oh attacks and many characters obviously have those. Parry is nice and can help a bit but it wont make bad variation like Balanced - good.

And we already test that in beta.

Why isn't Jax's Farm a playable stage?
No it wasn't, it was -13 for quite some time now. It was -9 till two patches ago, since then its been -13. Lets not spread misinformation.
By the way I wasn't spreading misinformation. All I said was it is now -13 (which it is) and it used to be -9 (which it was) and that it was an unnecessary nerf (which it is). All of that seems accurate to me.

It would be accurate 2 months ago, now it only looks like he was nerfed in the latest patch, which is untrue and could confuse people coz in the latest patch he was only buffed (well fixed for the most part).

I played some balanced yesterday on XL and I too thought OH's could not be parried. Until I parried subs b2. I think perhaps lows and jip's can't be parried. Hopefully this isn't just some "some OH moves can be parried while others cannot" type of thing.

The fact that you're making this post after the recent patch suggests that you are referring to that patch when you say that BF2 has changed from -9 to -13. As such you are somewhat spreading misinformation: BF2 was not -9 before the XL patch, it was -13 as it is now.

Tried out the new Kenjutsu today, I love what they've done with 2112+4 now launching. When you do 2112+4, rc, 43, db4/bf3 you get a piss easy 30/31% meterless off a 9-frame punisher.

To add onto that with Balanced you can do: 2112+4, RC, 211RK, teleflurry for an easy 29% meterless or the same one you mentioned ending with teleflurry for 29% :)

Is it a known thing that jump-in 1 in Balanced and Kenuutsu linking into anything is tied to how late you hit the ji1? When I do jump-in 1 at the last possible moment and do a standing 1 afterwards it won't link. When I do jump-in 1 at not-the last possible moment (basically anything earlier than that) it does link.

Kenshi's buff to 2112+4 is actually a bit better than I thought. It's now 9 frames so you can punish stuff like you would with 111, 21 and 211 are both -5 so it's safe, and you have a million years to hit confirm into 2112+4 and that gets some pretty good damage. Meterless in Kenjutsu you can get 31% and 1 bar gets you 39% and Balanced gets a solid 34%.

I see that possessed brutality glitch all the time now. I say keep it in the game lol.

Been playing since day one. Kenjutsu and possessed are good enough now imo. 1A and 1B. Balanced needs help still.

The only thing I would really ask for is shave off just a few more whiff frames for balanced/kenjutsu. F4 in possessed is still super worthless for such a cool animation.

I play mostly possessed. Enjoy it more. So glad with what they did with his teleport. Super useful and can be overwhelming to opponents sometimes.

Question: if you use 2,2 non metered. What do you guys normally do. A special? Or attack after opponent restands, if so with what?

I'm just happy to be able to actually finish combos playing kenjitsu (online) not relying on 18 to 23 percent damage and now consistently hitting 30 to 45

soon to make a videoclip with a combo in Kenjutsu. Preparatory material can be viewed here. If you have any comments or additions, then tell me.
