Got Face Huggers?
The Praetorian variation is just called "Konjurer". Probably means that the drone is called "Acid" or some dumb shit like that. Still calling them by their caste names
Wow, good catch on that @Olcadan13!

I wonder why they didn't go with the Xenomorph caste system for the variation names? Maybe they had continuity issues with the traditional Xenomorph caste system with this MKX Alien being part Tarkatan or maybe they just figured most people besides those who know wouldn't understand the Xenomorph caste names.

Probably Alien will be an fast char , they need to build an strong char against HQT & Hunter predator , Alien can suck (i doubt) but at least must be in equal level as Predator , ex :

Predator HQT = Top Tier .....
Predator Hunter = Top Tier
Predator Warrior = Low Tier

Alien Warrior = Top Tier
Alien Preatorian = Top Tier
Alien Drone/Runner = Low Tier

That's not a queen.

I feel like I post this in every Alien thread, but it'll probably stop once they reveal the variation names.

It's a Praetorian(hive protectors), not a Queen.

The only reason I continued to use the term Queen/Praetorian for the Egg/Facehugger variation is because it has the ability to lay Egg traps as well as has the Praetorian crown.

I was waiting to see how Netherrealm studios was going to explain how a Praetorian Alien could lay Egg Traps with Face Huggers and what they were going to call it but @Olcadan13 already pointed out that it's going to be called "Konjurer".

Maybe in the MK Universe because the Xenomorph incubated inside of a Tarkatan the traditional Xenomorph caste system isn't the same for this MKX Alien and the "Konjurer" Alien is some different kind of Queen or Praetorian type Alien?

But the saw... the saw is family
It's a weird name to call the variation. Probably because most people who don't know the franchise have no idea it would be a Praetorian.

At least it's spelt with a K :p

Goro?
It's possible that 'Konjurer' is an obscure reference to the alien novels, comics, or some other form of media. Kind of like how predator's hish-qu-ten variation, which is a reference to the predator novel series published by DarkHorse. Although, I've never heard the term 'Konjurer' being used to describe anything alien-related...

We might get an early look at the KP2 characters on the next episode of chasing the cup, which is on Monday (Feb 15), since they showed pictures of the characters during the last episode. Tyler also tweeted this a few weeks ago too: https://twitter.com/tylerlansdown/status/692748281340760064
So it looks like we can expect to hear some more KP2 news soon.

They probably just didn't really bother dealing with the extended canon especially considering that most people don't know about it.

Still would have been better than "Konjurer".

As far as I can tell Konjurer doesn't have tarkatan blades on NJP, might confirm a Baraka variation.

Specials look alright as long as one of the universal ones has armor. Hopefully Alien has a solid mid normal to work with, the one in the video looked like a high.

I legit can't wait for some interesting avp battles.
Dude, a AvP match Oklahoma vs Texas style would be epic  I got the Alien part covered. "Alien Hiss" "Alien Scream"...Xenoboyz

I can see that being the case. Still people know at least part of the Xenomorph caste system because of Aliens and the MKX Alien already has different domes. So I'm sure people would have understood the idea of the Xenomorph caste system being used for MKX Alien's variations on some level.

Oh definitely! They really should have done it but considering how easily the extended canon can be thrown out (*cough* Star Wars *cough*) then I can see why they would choose to make their own...

But it's still a dumb move.

Ok so after doing some digging, I think I might have figured out why they decided to name the variation "Konjurer". This might be a long shot and I may be over analyzing things, but just bear with me. When someone uses the term conjuring, most people probably think it's referring to the act of using magic to make something appear. It can also be used to describe the act of summoning a spirit or demon. However, an alternate term that is interchangeable with conjuring is known as evocation. Evocation also involves the summoning of spirits and demons, but it also includes the summoning of supernatural entities as well. What could be considered supernatural? Something that defies the basic laws of physics, and exists beyond the comprehension of nature. An 8 foot tall, acid bleeding monster fits this criteria pretty well imo. Plus the Alien has often been described as an unnatural, demonic creature. The original 'Alien' (1979) film had a lot of subtle religious overtones and themes. The creature's creator, H.R. Giger based the alien's design off of various nightmares that he personally experienced as well. Many of which are documented in Giger's Necronomicon. And on one of the first public screenings of the first alien movie, a large space jockey prop was placed outside the theater to promote the film. However, a religious fanatic lit the display on fire, because he thought the space jockey prop was a sign of the devil. Apparently, demonic spirits in some religions are also regarded as "alien", "unnatural", or "supernatural". Anyway, back to my main point, I think the reason they named the praetorian variation, "Konjurer" is simply because the alien (the conjurer), in this variation, is capable of spawning eggs and summoning (conjuring) other aliens (demons, supernatural entities). I could be completely wrong here though. Either way, I have to admit, at first I thought "Konjurer" was a really strange name for an alien variation, but now that I think about it, NRS is actually pretty clever and creative for coming up with this name.

I don't think any one is confused why they used the name (95% sure we were all joking about the magic stuff) just why they didn't use the already existing caste system names.

I mean, if I was the head of these decisions and someone suggested "Konjurer", I'd make the same dick joke about magic/Quan Chi and be like "just use Praetorian".

Excited for the revealing of the Alien's Kaustic and Baraka variations!

Play Monster Hunter!
In preparation for Alien, I watched Prometheus, hadn't seen it until now.
Wanted to see why everyone thought it sucked, went in thinking it couldn't possibly be that bad.

I think I pretty much hated every single thing about that movie. Just complete nonsense.
