Indeed what a lot of people are failing to realize is that the issue here isn't just that one platform is being favored over another it's that WB/NRS mislead PC customers. In interviews Boon said it would be great on PC, they then charged the same price for the title as it's console counterparts. If the game simply was not released on PC, or if it was at a discounted price because they would not be supporting it as well then I don't think people would have an issue. It's basically false advertisement when it comes down to it.I think by looking at this thread, console players are giving those AAA dev some sort of precedents that it's ok to scrap one platform and continue with other platform eventhough both platform already released and paid by the customers at the same time.
Basically we're showing them that it's we're totally cool for them to be a dick to one platform, while continueing other platform.
well, if you're spending your hard earned money to buy a game that being promised to be as good as it's console counterparts, yet being dropped after +-6 months yet the console version are still running and going, without any proper explanations and apologies; I guess it's not overreacting habibi, it's a reasonable consumer response.I'm not here to start beef with anyone. I'm one of you guys, I spent hundreds of hours on mkx and want to play a better online and play offline with the latest patch at the few opportunities I am able to. In a way your replies were part of my point, it shows how much of an overreaction there is to this dilemma. Seems like nobody here is willing is accept what happened and just move on so I leave it you guys, continue on your discussion.
I agree that a negative response is completely reasonable, there has been some questionable ones though like calling nrs/wb shady and lawsuits. It was never officially stated that the pc version would be as good as the consoles, it was just angry joe putting ed boon on the spot and I don't even think he worked on the pc port, HVS did. Plus no business is going to admit something like that, he was just giving a PR response, and we all know apology PR statements are just copy paste and don't mean jack. My gut tells me that HVS was fired/no contracted after 9 months after release (assuming kp2 wasn't originally planned), and another company coming to take over the port would be too problematic as it is often harder to continue someone else's code than write from scratch. I'm not sure about the whole Qloc thing though. Hopefully in the future HVS doesn't come back and they hire someone competent.well, if you're spending your hard earned money to buy a game that being promised to be as good as it's console counterparts, yet being dropped after +-6 months yet the console version are still running and going, without any proper explanations and apologies; I guess it's not overreacting habibi, it's a reasonable consumer response.
What you seem to be overlooking though is the complete disrespect being shown to the PC players right now. There has been no word as to what is going on outside of single line tweets or forum posts. People are pissed because rather than coming out and saying "Look, we are not going to bother with the PC version of the game because "Insert Reasons Here"." in an official statement then people will still be pissed but at least they'll have had something. As it stands there has been a complete disconnect with the PC players that supported the game and that is disrespectful beyond belief.I agree that a negative response is completely reasonable, there has been some questionable ones though like calling nrs/wb shady and lawsuits. Yes, you nailed it, right there. There are certain situations that are unacceptable. Certain situations that should be treated right away, before they become something far worse. It's better to prevent something, then to have to cure from it after damage had been done.Seems like nobody here is willing is accept what happened and just move on.
That's a wishful thinking, brother.they must be working a last minute deal to get KP2 and MKXL to PC. thats the only possible explanation.

I was surprised nobody said anything during ESL, but I'm guessing they may have given them some rules on what they could talk about when on the air. Who knows, I think it's a pretty big bomb to drop before ESL and with a few PC players competing in the Top 8, for nobody to mention it is a little odd.Is there a way for someone to ask someone from the NRS/WB crew about PC?
Like, say, Ketchup/Mustard could have asked them on last Kombat Kast...
You told us to be fucking GRATEFUL for what happened and the fact that we even got the game on PC to begin with, as if they were doing us a favor all this time. And then you wonder why you got the replies you got???I'm not here to start beef with anyone. QLOC was named in the steam database strings for MKX back when they were working on it. It's pretty obvious that they had a hand on the game improving so much in the last months of support.I'm not sure about the whole Qloc thing though.
Curious that nobody thought about it. Like many other owners of PC version, I got this so-so Blue-Steel Sub-Zero skin because I wanted to support competitive MK scene (this was also my first freakin' re-skin I ever bought, lolz). I'd love to support it more in nice, civil ways like: getting re-skins i don't need/like, buying NRS games, playing them and telling all my friends what a joy it is. But I can't. Now, when PC port is finally ok-ish, I just can't do this. Because WB has no ethics. Because NRS acts like not only PC v of the game never existed but also PC gaming MK fans never existed. Because soon the game will be outdated and incomplete. Also, cannot support you guys, since WB with NRS's silent approval will soon cut my ties with this game. Way to go.The worst part about seeing all these posts from console trolls is that they don't realize or don't want to recognize that fewer people interested in and playing a competitive game like MKX is a BAD THING. When interest is lost in a competitive game, the support, development, and tournament prizes for the game drops.
Tbh I don't regret the buy. I just wish support to be mutual. And as somebody pointed out earlier: remember dear people, WB scamming practices started with certain Wiiu console. No platform is immune to corporate Moloch's lust for monies.I totally forgot about the Blue Steel Sub-Zero skin. Wish I could at least refund that now, especially because it gave support to people who probably don't deserve it, the console fanboys.
