when xbox one tried to strangle the entire current gen way of doing things EVERYONE came together, pc and console. so dont try and make out that pc gamers dont care about what happens to consoles...we actually DO...hence why we dont agree with online fees...overpriced software, shitty closed networks and old age hardware...pc gamers want gamers to expect more and not be butt raped...i guess thats a bad thing now.

Loved Cyrax since the days of MK3. Watched some youtube footage of KK after getting home. Sucks to be PC right now. I'll be boarding the SFV train once it hits next month and it'll definitely be the fighter I put most time into but I can't deny how much I liked MKX. The game is gorgeous, and I love the aesthetics/characters. SFV on the other hand, is going full on perv this time around. Tits'n'ass everywhere. Yes it's just a video game, but it's still almost embarrassing. The characters are also just way too wacky for my taste and I can't help but notice that so many ultras look straight-up ridiculous now.

I still hold some slight hope (probably silly of me) that they'll change their mind. The whole thing has been a tad bit shocking. I first heard the news of "no PC/Steam logo" from a friend and laughed it off because they seriously wouldn't do that. Then turns out it's true. Waited a couple of days for an official response/reason, practically nothing. They really just abandoned ship. The lack of any official statement still surprises me. What would they say though? A glorified version of "Wasn't worth our time"? I know the playerbase on PC has been dead for sometime now, but players do still exist on the platform and it feels like no one really gives a shit. While I'm glad people have been letting their voice be heard, I fear that everyone will just completely forget the PC versions exists and shrug it off. I doubt this'll come back to bite them in the ass, because when it comes to gaming people generally give untrustworthy devs too many second chances, but I hope people will at least remember it in the future next time NRS/WB's names come up in their next product.

Let's do some wishful thinking: the way I see it WB would be dead on PC if they'd keep this situation up and dropping the PC platform just like that would be a huge financial mistake for them. The PC is the strongest platform when it comes to keeping up a constant revenue stream (MK9? All the Arkham games? yep, that stuff still sells on PC) and that kinda makes it a necessity to stay strong there.

Also let's keep in mind that XL's launch date (March) would not be too ideal on PC: SF5 is coming, KI is coming, it's crowded there. So if WB is not just a bunch of idiots MKXL will come out one day, maybe around the summer when you don't see many new releases dropping and by that time the console MKXL craze will just be a distant memory so PC can help out in sales. That half a year gap would also be ideal to basically "relaunch" the title under the XL brand, and with a good port - which is already there honestly because between April and September MKX got a huuuuuge jump in port quality thx to QLOC - WB could use that to get back some of the trust they lost last year with all the ridiculous fuckups. Let's hope they are not mindless!

I think that they should have taken away a very important lesson from last year: if your developer is not developing the PC version in-house and the development schedule is tight - Rocksteady and NRS, I'm talking about you guys - don't you dare releasing the PC port the same time the console versions drop! The port of MKX was not lazily done, it was not fucked up by HVS... it was unfinished because they had an impossible job to do. How the hell could you port a game as an external developer if not even the original version is finished? Who the hell was the goddamn idiot at WB who made the decision to launch all versions simultaneusly in a fucked up situation like that? If something like this happens you delay, the consumer is much better at waiting than playing a beta version. "Steam is a cashcow, gotta sell that DLC at full price", some genius thought and that cost WB millions upon millions of dollars. <sarcastic clapping>

1st of March is right between PC releases of SF5 and KI you know...

KI is already 3 years old on Xboxone so no sweat, SF5 is only on PS4, but they kinda can`t delay PS4 release...

What any gaming community is known for depends on what forums you decide to visit on the internet and whether or not you'll let some highly-vocal children represent said community. The potshot was unnecessary and gives off the impression of having some personal gripe against PC-only gamers. No offense taken, but still embarrassing to read.

To get back on topic, I'm personally just gonna wait it out. Two of my buddies already have SFV pre-ordered, KI comes out soon, and if by some slight chance WB/NRS are simply waiting it out so it doesn't coincide with SFV's release then that's understandable (sort of). Honestly, the most insulting thing to come out of all of this is their complete silence. I'd imagine that the community wouldn't like their reasoning and they've just chosen to shrug it off entirely. Who knows. At this point we don't know shit.
