+5Lol sorry it's just pretty disorganized in the Kotal forums, thought this might be faster. I found the info before the reply, but I had to dig for it. Is there frame data for the totems too?
My B. I legit didn't see it.@StealthyMuffin I thought you were joking lol I asked the same question like, 2 posts above yours. It's +4.
I'm curious as to how we get these numbers. Can you math this info out just looking at the frame data in game?
Yes. But realize it is your ass on a silver platter if you time it wrong. Or if it is a multihit 50/50 be prepared to parry it all.Theoretically. . . if you see a 50/50 coming. You can parry?
The same can be said if you guess wrong right? So why not parry anyways?Yes. But realize it is your ass on a silver platter if you time it wrong. Or if it is a multihit 50/50 be prepared to parry it all.
30 frames of vulnerability is far worse in most cases than having trust in your defense. 30 frames means they can get whatever they want in their entire arsenal. Plus, if it isn't just a single hit 50/50 then you're going to either have to keep parrying or have enough presence of mind to block the correct option. For example, Quan Chi does b2~close EX rune or b34~close EX rune. If you parry the first hit of either you're going to have to parry the rest or block correctly (in this case you don't even get a punish if you parry EX rune). If you miss the parry he'll get a free hit punish. The same can be said if you guess wrong right? So why not parry anyways?
Got you, i just feel like at this point in the games life somebody would be utilizing the parry far more effectively besides avoiding chip. If i had the knowledge to know all the 50/50's in the game id be on that shit with possibly the swaggiest blood god. Also for your example, i thought if you parry'd certain strings your opponent cant cancel into any specials?30 frames of vulnerability is far worse in most cases than having trust in your defense. 30 frames means they can get whatever they want in their entire arsenal. Oh shit, you're right he can't even cancel those. He still has the multihitting b3 option which is a bitch to parry. I think it is under used as well but it is so god damn risky sometimes. In the Takeda MU you either pick WG or learn to be a parry god.Got you, i just feel like at this point in the games life somebody would be utilizing the parry far more effectively besides avoiding chip. Just food for thought, seeing that this game is dominated by 50/50 or so i have been toldOh shit, you're right he can't even cancel those. Agree with predator (hqt) , and reptile, would change ft for gunslinger erronWhat's everybody's three characters they either feel uncomfortable handling with Kotal or straight up swap characters?
Mine are Reptile, Ferra/Torr, Predator.
I'd have to say Mileena, Jax, and Liu. HQT is uncomfortable for me with anyone, except for maybe Tremor. What's everybody's three characters they either feel uncomfortable handling with Kotal or straight up swap characters?
