Worst Well-Established Goro Player Ever
I've played casuals vs. a good KL here and yeah, the fact that we can EX PW in the gaps is ridic. Even with setups to break armor.
I know, my point is it shouldn't randomly drop.It recaptures at the 5th punch. Before that it can drop.
I ALWAYS pick TF against Kotal. Up close Kotal can just go ham, so I always work to keep him out.Kotal Khan is an insanely rough matchup for me. All of his normals beat goros, even d4 gets blown up kotals f2 if you try to check his advancing mids. I'm sure I could be missing something, but footsies is definitely not an option in this matchup. I play TF, maybe it's better as other variations but IDK.
When you are playing a kotal, armor through his gaps and try to zone him. Basically if Kotal in any variation does b122 into a move except for overhead sword in war god he is unsafe and there is a gap and you can armor, so basically if you see him doing something with a gap punish with xxpw, if you see he is baiting you use xxxstomp, or xxshokan grab. Also if a kotal ever does b14 into a special there is always a gap. Also if you touch kotal you can pressure with stagger f3, in tigrar firebreath is plus 12(since thats the one you play) b12u2 is plus 2, and many more strings, that are plus that you should use. That sounds really dumb actually, but it reminds me of something very important. We should all collaborate and make a thread on bugs, fixes and other things we're looking at for quality of life changes Goro could heavily benefit from. That's my biggest thing for him right now is quality of life fixes.I was today at GDA and was playing against @Frankie_W , he plays Commando Kano. Apparently Commando Kano can parry Goro's cg with his LOW parry. Yes, you read correctly his LOW parry. Something to think about. Hope it gets fixed, unless there is a reason this works that way.

You said you were doing FBRC's with someone else correct? You're probably doing it too fast after blocked ex punch walk maybe? But yea Goro is not the only one. That he can low parry the command grab requires him to actually know that, and to execute it in time to grab a 8f grab. I'm none too worried personally.
I mean, aside from those you have down 1, down 3, down 4, regular throw and doing slower strings after you've conditioned people to block like 2,1. Goro is all about conditioning people to block a certain way. If you really wanna mind fuck people when you're plus on block, just block or back dash that'll make them wanna poke or push buttons then the next time they try it you can blow them up hard for onl He's like any other character with slighlty plus normals, it's all the same concept. If you want more guaranteed stuff after frame traps, the other variations have that going on as well.What do you guys use your + frames for? So let's say I land a B121 or a 11 and I'm now +2. As options you of course have B12U2 (as a 'frame trap' if they don't have meter or they lack a good way to deal with the 7-frame B1) and your patented Shokan Grab. Besides that, are there any other noteworthy options? Kuatan Warrior btw.

I'm not home right now, I'm on mobile so if you would like you can check out my YouTube channel. I need to update with new/more recent content, but conditioning works the same regardless of your charcter choice. Simple example, I used back 1,2,1 and people keep trying to poke and lose to my six frame down 3/1, they get conditioned to not try poking back and instead might just respect the frames or they might back dash or armor. This conditioning might allow me to do a slower option like a throw or back 3, which is like 13 frames.
