I've been playing the hell out of rocket league. Picked up Destiny around Halloween. I recently found out how The Last of Us multiplayer mode is so I'm gonna take a crack at that. The story mode of that game is AMAZING, I've been fiending for a more realistic shooter although the gunplay in Destiny is pretty good. I've just started gaming on PS4 so I don't have much recommendations.

I've actually just bought the entire Splinter Cell series (except Pandora Tomorrow) on Steam. Finished Splinter Cell and just finished Chaos Theory tonight, which may be in my top ten games now, seriously Chaos Theory is perfect. Anyway about to start Double Agent, not looking forward to Blacklist where they change Sam Fishers voice.

Still playing MKX though, honestly the lag, at least for me, has never been God awful, not great by any means but I can play it fine.

MKX online makes me heavily regret not getting an Xbox instead. The only other game I have for now is Destiny. Its pretty fun though tbh, I didn't expect to enjoy spending time with it lol

as much as online mkx sucks, you can still have good games if you play someone who's actually playing the same game you're playing.

for instance, i stopped playing ranked matches, and i only play against ppl i know. There are ways around that, maybe just a little mindset tweak can change your online experience.

Ive been playing alot of Killer Instinct as far as fighting games are concerned. . Other than that ive gotten back into my MMO's like C9. Will be picking Tera back up once they add Brawler next month.

Seconded, the Uncharted collection is now out for PS4, but this year I actually played all 3 for the first time without the updated graphics, all on PS3. I can verify they are still very much worth the time in 2015, and you want to be caught up for Naughty Dogs next effort Uncharted 4 this year which looks amazing. This plus the Last of Us, these guys have a pretty awesome track record for not only delivering but consistently improving!

EDIT: Dankster you picked up Sub?

USF4 & BLOPS3 fuck MKX not touched it in over 2 months online. I have just been in training making sure my execution is still there every once in awhile and playing some offline sets with my bro but i will never ever touch this game again online. Its the only fighter where i win online and still get salty AF.

I'm finally starting to get a bead on how to read threads here...

I don't judge the game from Sonic Fox's or DJT's level of perspective. That would be like judging my striking on how well I can hit Floyd Mayweather, Jr. I judge the game from a level above mine. I can see the meta a level above where I'm at, but I can't see the S+ meta yet. Most posters here may differ with me in opinion, but they see things from the same perspective I'm looking from. So, when players who get the S+ meta say something, you can try to see if its up-playing, downplaying, or on the level - but to dismiss it completely or disrespect them is asinine - and belittles your perspective in the eyes of others here.

Most above average players will think online is fine because they're not counting frames. As you progress beyond this, you'll see its a problem that makes you choose. You either learn to adjust your game to keep lag from hurting you in key spots - or you try to maximize your skills to the utmost for offline play. Either way, it diminishes not only the experience - but also the growth of players into the elite - as they have to choose their area of specialization.

EDIT: Dankster you picked up Sub?
Naughty dog is the best developer in single player gaming. And yeah I picked up sub. I'm sick of pulling off what would be a good cancel offline, but i end up not being able to pressure anyone online. I still use cage, but I feel more comfortable with sub, especially online. I had played sub since the beginning, and I always co-main sub and cage in every game.
EDIT: and you're with scorpion over lao now?

Really cool write up

Who are the players you think are at the S+ meta who falls into this category? Sonic and DJT have to be there without a unit, I got Burger King up there too

Sub is my go-to character for when I'm on pad, I play on stick but obviously I don't just hang out with it everywhere do when I'm at friends houses or whatever else I play Sub.

And yeah I'm now a Scorp main. Still play Hat Trick he's too damn flashy and I've built a unique playstyle with him, but Hellfire has the tools I want to compete with

@I GOT HANDS yeah you're a brave man I'd rather shower with a bear then use run cancel characters online. I'll buy a stick if I ever want to use a character like cassie or kitana. But doubtful, sub does everything I want a character to do between his two variations. I might learn stunt double cage for online if I wanna use him.

It's all muscle memory for me dude I'm legitimately training like Goku in the hyperbolic time chamber, once I learned the combo I'm hitting record AI and doing reps with my eyes closed and sound muted, then playing it back to see how I went

Part of the reason I picked Scorp, actually impossible to do with Hat Trick as your combos are dependant on your Hats positioning and you gotta adapt every single conversion involving your set-up on the fly. I always seem to get terrible connections so I needed something I can do online. There is very little visual / audio reference for these cancels anyway, practically all muscle memory to begin with

I replayed Uncharted 1 3-4 times when it came out. Beat it a second time when trophies got released. Then I beat it again on crushing and one more time when I was bored. I picked up the Uncharted 2&3 pack in spring of this year. So Uncharted 2 is fresh in my mind and I'm working on Uncharted 3. I'll probably end up beating it either this thanksgiving or Christmas. PS3 is at home while I'm at college. Have my PS4 though lol. Uncharted is probably my top 3 singleplayer games I played. And I think I'd put TLoU there too. Naughty Dog is too good. Jax & Daxter is amazing too. Wish that'd get a next gen release.

I'm hoping Guerrilla (I think that's the Killzone developers) deliver on that open world action adventure with the robot dinosaurs and other wildlife.

@Kotal_Wannabe Fallout 4 just came out. Pick up that if you want a fun singleplayer game that'll eat up hours. I'm thinking about getting just from the value but IDK if I got the attention span lol. Never finished new vegas.

There are actually a lot here, by comparison of other games and sites. Established pros are a given, but there are a lot of unsung players who play at that level, but haven't been able to break through. Some might not be able to play the S+ meta - so they don't go to tournaments, but they are able to see it. As much as there is complaining that goes on here about the direction this site is going, there are a lot of good posters here. Recognizing who is who here goes a long way.

The muscle memory works for me but you are just simply losing frames online. It's just hit and miss, you can pressure, but your not as plus as you think you are. My 40% bnb combos with sub ending with a hkd will always work and there's something to be said for that.
