Yeah I think she's supposed to be quite simple. I really hope zafina makes it, it will be really sad if her life span is just being bottom tier. nina will be in it, she's been in every tekken there is although I don't know about Anna
Zafina was only bottom in T6, she's high-mid at least in TTT2, even higher with the right character as her partner.
With how much damage random stray hits do in TTT2 Zafina's style was really scary, especially with rage.
I hope more stance characters make it through. Zafina, Lei, maybe a new character that's complex like that.

That nigga Bryan and Paul look well equiped for T7 from what i've seen.
I think Paul needs a faster low and... what the hell am I talking about. Deathfist for life.

I re watched the Tekken Cali tourny footage and laughing at everyone feeling the pain from all the deathfists

I got hit with "elbow into Death Fist 60%" twice tonight. The second most rage inducing thing in the game outside of desperation Supers. -.-

It cops out so many damage, even when you're not too sure to what to use on your combo fillers after a S! just Deathfist bruh!

Zafina was considered bottom B In fact she was next to my man baek lol. One thing i will say, baek and zafina where players you played from the heart and I can't tell you how many times they have saved the day and changed the game. The best thing zafina had by far was after fc df4? She got B3 for free for a good chunk, that wasn't nice to get hit by all the time. I don't think she was as low as baek, I've played some really good Zafina's who would utilise iscarecrow and it was tough

Haha, I so hope they give him his long hair back, he would look SO cool! I would play him just for that. By the way, his back sway 4 on CH is one of the most satisfying things to hit in tekken for me and I don't even play him

I blame the sidestep changes
What are the actual sidestep changes? Is it just harder to use?, I remember hearing something about blocking and sidestepping doesn't work or something. I know that you can no longer delay sidestep moves e.g fengs ss4. You gotta commit

I think the distance on sidesteps are shorter and the frames between sidestepping and blocking is increased

Ahh I see, thanks for the information :) I wonder why they nerfed movement so much, the kbd looks extremely sluggish although I remember them saying they were going to make back dashing easier

Cause sidestepping correctly requires too much skill, and they're clearly trying to dumb down the game as much as possible :DOGE

Lol it literally makes no sense, kind of goes against the point of moves tracking in the game, which kind of goes against 3d fighting games, which kind of goes against tekken :p

Zaf's tag fillers were a joke that's why she worked well with lili because lili didn't need them and uf+1 was good enough as a tag filler for lili.
A lot of zafs don't use mantis in neutral which i think is pretty strong, she has a lot of good frame traps which a lot of people don't know about
  • 214(d)mts1
  • 123(scr)4(if ducked roll into mantis since the punish window was tight iirc, it works for me)
  • df+4,1(d) wr.21(i say while rising sue me)
  • ff+3, scr1
  • 24 trl 34
  • 3 scr 1+2(d) trl 1+2
  • uf+1+2, trl 1+2 or d+1+2
She was such a complex character i wish people took more time for her, i really am going to miss zaf :(

Yeah she had some real awkward stuff to deal with, one thing I will never understand is that you could interrupt her 2 of ws12 with a 10 frame maybe 11, isn't that sickening lol

Her tag potential was considered the worst in the game along side feng. (My brother mained zaf/Feng lol)

People hate her but i learnt the game along side my bro who stuck with zafina for the whole 2 or more years we played that game, and so I've always had a soft spot for her, she doesn't deserve the treatment she's getting. To add insult to injury they make people such as lucky chloe which ALOT of people detest

Feng had the best whiff punish damage before bound in the game. Don't know why no one ever did this combo, lol. I could get 81% before bound into a red life combo that carried from midscreen to the wall on most stages, hehheh.
