1) Did the removal of option selects kill Raiden that bad? According to this list, he's bottom 10.

2) Tier A doesn't seem to make too much sense. You guys are basically saying that Erron, Jax, Scorpion, and Kotal all have comparable tools to be grouped in the same tier. I was given the impression that Jax and Erron are at least A+ tier or top 10.

Why would u need to jump with cage unless u were trying to get over something? Otherwise his ground game is superb.

I gotta tell ya sweetie. Going up again'st HTQ Predator is terrible with cage. at least for me.

Question. Why not, though? Do you believe variations are not unique enough to be considered characters in and of themselves? Does high tech Jacqui have the same MU against Mournful Kit as FA Jacqui would have against Assassin?

@cR WoundCowboy just because u can armor thru the f4 string to hellsparks doesn't mean u cant bait the armor and make ur opponent waste meter and get punished. Also what happens when they have no meter? Oh yeah get chipped to death. Also cage has:
*Jailing cancels
*Good zoning
*D4 and f3 control footsies extremely well and d4 kills multiple mids by going under them/ wakeups
*-4 armor move that is great for counterzoning and can only be punished by neutral duck on a read
* Solid anti airs (d2 and Standing 1) also ex nutpunch
Cage is a very good character and i cant wait till A list players get ridiculous with their cancels and pressure.
@Pig Of The Hut , kenshi is still viable, doesnt matter if he is in B tier.

Heres what I gotta say about that Mr.YOMI: Cage has a good D4. BUT ON BLOCK LIU KANG CAN F44 RIGHT AFTER YOU DO THE MOVE. SO IF I DO THIS AND IT'S BLOCKED IM HANDING A TURN TO ATTACK OVER TO MY OPPONENT. OTHER CHARACTERS CAN DO THAT TO CAGE TO. His F3 is great. But awful if it whiffs. And it leads to a frame trap on block where I will either EAT ARMOR. DO A GRAB WHOOPTY FUCKIN DOO. D4 (IF BLOCKED IM HANDING THE TURN TO ATTACK TO MY OPPONENT.) DO AN OVERHEAD WHICH WILL GET BLOCKED. GO FOR A 11 AND GET POKED OUT OF IF MY OPPONENT IS SMART. OR 113 AND RISK GETTING FUZZY BLOCKED. OR 113 EX FORCE BALL WHICH CAN BE DESTROYED BY CASSIES FLIP KICK AND REPTILES DASH AND SEVERAL OTHER FAST MOVES. ANYONE WITH AN 8FRAME POKE CAN GET OUT OF THE EX FORCE BALL TRAP. SO MY OPTIONS SUCK. AND ALL FOR 23% OR 33% Good day. My opinion

Raiden (Thunder God variation) got nerfed in almost every patch, so it's not surprising he went from top 3 to bottom 10.

Universal os removal hurts him a lot since his overhead was like -66 on block.

He no longer has a reliable over head for 40% combos and I believe he was also nerfed.

I think it's weird that some characters have such a high rating but yomi players dont use that character (or any top players but one for that matter) aka d'vorah. If a character is in the top teirs, why wouldn't it be used more?>

this is a legitimate question cause ive seen this a few times from other people as well with no justification as to why the character is actually good, honeybee is top teir, but why is d'vorah?

I think it's definitely too early to make a solid MU chart for her, but I can't think of anything that would be worse than 4-6, at least right now. At least for the bottom half of the cast, I don't see anyone she wouldn't beat or go even with

You're assuming your opponent will do every option to escape every situation every time, and that's just not how it works at all.

Considering d4's low profiling capabilities and range, you're oversimplifying things by saying, "if it's blokked i loose my turn, d00d." D4 is also only -1 on block if i remember correctly. So your opponent doesn't necessarily get guaranteed stuff from max range. Since you can low profile a lot of attacks with it.

Your d4 has comparable space to your overhead. You could easily sit at the space where either will hit and start conditioning.

There are only so many d4s you can take before blocking low. If they block your overhead, you're safe. Not only that, but if you read a button press after you can use your armored launcher.

F3 is bad if it whiffs? Don't whiff it. If you whiff a move, you should get punished.

That stuff about Reptile and Cassie is just silly. Those are full combo punishable moves. (The mb flipkick admittedly less so)

Cage, especially with his many frame traps in A-List, is very good.
