i´m gonna be honest and don't know why you have problems with takeda, most or your normals are safer and faster, just run on top of him and do b12 (it is safe and breaks armor) or b12 exdd1 fbf4 or f213 exdd1 fbf4but never go against takeda in the air we suck at air attacks or even anti air. Takeda is super slow so when he drops his blades you have to armor through that

edit double dd1
I struggle against takeda once he gets his groove going. I really don't know how to punish him. But I guess the key to that match up is to keep it as close contact as possible and be aware of the njp. When you say drops his blade do you mean the low projectile? We can armor through that? That would help a lot but i thought after the buffs they closed all his gaps? I'm probably wrong thats just what i heard

first keep all your matches grounded against all characters, if you have problem with takeda practice against the b21 (the overhead low) if he drops the blade he can recall it and breaks all armor even the x-rays, you block and then you use your armored special (bf2 or fbf4) , remember, we are way faster than takeda, we have a 6 frames (f12 fbf4 high) ,a 8 frames high but it is a combo (s113b34f44fbf3), a 9 frames low (f44)and a 10 frames attack (f213)

good luck!

You can find full description here or in my guide! :)
Breaking the x ray armor haha that is so awesome. If they made xray to have a certain amount of hits of armor then they surely knew that there would be characters or ways to break it so I think this is cool

Wow incredibly helpful. Thanks a lot bro. Can't wait to try it
Those special moves after the sf don't connect and can be blocked apart from the fk or sf into another world in corner (I think) , there's no point doing the other specials , your better just ending the combo in regular windmill punch and get guaranteed next block string /throw

A few of my flame fist combos I found from months ago , keep an eye in Liu Kang combo thread for Df and more flame fist combos, keep an eye out

80% unrealistic combo starter

Same combo but realistic combo starter 73%

75% corner X-ray combo off jk

65% meter less corner combo

You can use those as extra options after a WP, ending with a regular WP wont guarantee follow-up, either.

If it's blocked it's not a combo lol I'm talking about ending in wp. no point in doing sf at the end into special when can guarantee more pressure after combo

The point of doing specials after WP is not to combo, its another option to use, as some people expect a special after and will block, so now you can get more chip with another WP.

Are we talking about the same thing? For example f44 wp on hit , you would do shaolin flame after your wp then what? You can escape most what ur describing, I'd rather get a guaranteed mix up/ little pressure and do more damage and possibly lead into another restand position

And obviously like in the corner wp sf wp that's useful as combo links
How do you get wp sf wp to link, I seem to cancel into the wp right after sf but it does not link?

Also who knows the frame data currently for the ex sf after f213, f44, b12 and f12?

The only block string that seems to work for me is f213 ex sf f12 wp, any others? does the f213 ex sf f213 wp link?

You have to do it in the corner for it to link and 112 ex sf is neutral I think, f44 I believe is slightly negative but could be wrong, b12 and f12 ex sf are negative.
F213 regular sf into wp is a true block string but the others linked into it has a gap but can break their armour unless they have fast armour.

Can anyone please tell me how people can instantly cancel Liu Kang dd1 into a special? I could do his dd1 cancel into db 3 or bf 3(not consistently) but I struggle with the bfb4.

I did it twice now but very inconsistent. There must be some sort of timing. If I get it I will try to let others know if there is a secret.

There's no secret really. Like with every other cancelable move, you need to finish input of your special during startup frames of the move you are intending to cancel (SF in this case).
I suppose your best bet would be inputting fb slightly in advance (not too hard when you do WP~SF~WP) then be on point with your f+4 when Liu starts his dd1 motion. I recommend to stagger f+4 from the rest specifically because MKX has a story of losing inputs from buffer when working with 3-motion inputs like dbf, maybe this one isn't an exception too.
If that's correct, you may say that pressing last f and 4 simultaneously is a "secret" you're looking for. To me this was a secret to cancelling strings into grabs :p
Timing is still rather strict though.

Will try it out, thanks.
